Obama and Putin's 'power huddle': The two most powerful men in the world hold 30 minute meeting hunched over a coffee table at G20 after the president vowed to 'redouble' fight against ISIS
Pair huddled on the sidelines of the G20 meeting away from reporters They could be seen on a television feed, but the couldn't be heard Obama said âskies have been darkenedâ by the attacks in the French capital Pledged solidarity with France and aid the effort to hunt down perpetrators But he offered no details about what the U.S. or its coalition partners might do to step up assault against ISIS Obama had been criticized for claiming ISIS was 'contained' just a day before the series of coordinated attacks left 129 dead in Paris on Friday President Barack Obama sat down with Russian President Vladimir Putin for crucial talks on the sidelines of the G20 summit as both countries pledged to eliminate ISIS and end the Syrian war that has fueled its rise.
Their huddle over a coffee table in Antalya, Turkey, on Sunday came after the extremist group claimed responsibility for Friday's horrific coordinated attacks in Paris that left 129 people dead and hundreds injured.
The two leaders chatted in a foursome with Obama's national security adviser Susan Rice and a Russian aide.
Their meeting was visible on a television feed provided by the summit's host country, but their conversation couldn't be heard.
The White House says the 35-minute meeting centered on talks to end Syria's civil war and that the two leaders agreed that the country needs a political transition led by Syrians. The transition would be preceded by negotiations mediated by the United Nations and a cease-fire.
The two leaders also discussed the conflict in Ukraine and that Obama expressed condolences

And on and on it goes...
After the events in Paris on 11/13, I will be adding this
to my posts for the next week. I'm certain our turn is
coming again soon. We stand united against Islamic
extremists, oxymoron or not.
Obama is doing more damage to the US than Putin.
Well at least there was one world leader in the meeting.
I hope Vlad came out and told him the for the good of the world, he and his administration need to resign.

Headline is technically correct though perhaps sexist since Forbes most powerful ranking is Putin, Merkel, Obama in that order. Personally I think the first American President to drop out of the top two is overrated. I'd leave Pope Frances (4) below him, but would probably bump Xi Jinping to the Obama spot.
The presence of Susan Rice at such a meeting throws the whole thing into a zone of stupid uselessness. I would be more impressed if 0bama had brought Adam Sandler.
And no matter what Obama says, he’s not going to do anything. Putin runs Syria now, and Obama isn’t going back to Iraq.
Is this where Obama offers his sword & surrenders to Putin? He may as well.
I’m looking for satanic messages in Obama’s scalp. They are there—the picture’s blurry.
Rice is pretty dim, all right. But, you guys are forgetting Marie Harf and Jen Psaki. Maybe they don’t matter, because they are presstitutes rather than power people, but they are very, very lightweight.
Great “Dirty Harry” reference.
Good point.
And thus incapable of refuting (or even disagreeing with!) the “wisdom” of what Obola’s OTHER ADVISERS want, need, and desire for their Middle East and European interests.
Funny how a lit of things Trump says do, Obama is now doing. Instead of isolating the only country willing to bomb ISIS Trump said work with Putin on this. Now Obama is working with Putin, maybe. Difference between a Leader & a follower
Is that from a Russian site?
If so they even got the scar on Barry’s head right.
Very interesting!
“I hope they understand that real Americans are not like him....”
Unfortunately, many, perhaps most of them are...they voted this POS into office, twice.
Hunched shoulders and servitude aspect while Putin gestures and commands. Though the whole thing could easily have been planned as a photo op - they were surrounded by photographers and meeting outside an elevator, after all. So it was acted out as casual, but they wanted the world to see them in a huddle.
