WASHINGTON â Conservative presidential candidates speak casually of deporting 11 million people, but what they donât say is what it would cost, what it would take and the long odds of success.
Some researchers who have considered such a possibility envision the expansion of federal fugitive operations teams that would fan out through rural areas arresting immigrant workers picking strawberries. Poultry plants would be raided and teachers and doctors could be tasked with reporting those who seek services. The costs: as high as $300 billion....

Heaven.
IMHO, all that would be necessary is to build the wall and stop giving “FRee stuff” to non-citizens!
As soon as the “FRee stuff” spigot is closed, illegal aliens will self deport. And, “The wall” will keep them out!
Here’s an easy first step. Businesses get a business expense deduction for the cost of employees. In enforcing the immigration laws, provide that no business will get a deduction for employees unless they can submit paperwork demonstrating that all their employees are legal.
That will make all the businesses fire workers who cannot show a legal status in America and they will have to self-deport or starve.
How did the Register get so bad at math?
The vastly overstated $300B is small potatoes compared to half of these 11 million being on welfare for even a few years.
Trebuchet? That’s so 14th century MortMan!
How about this: http://www.csmonitor.com/Science/Cool-Astronomy/2010/0914/NASA-considering-rail-gun-launch-system
Not shooting them into space, but a ballistic trajectory so that they land somewhere near Guatemala. Way down there. The experience will be safe but not necessarily pleasant because NASA ain’t Six Flags Over Texas, right?
Someone with African-American Mathematical Studies degree will have to do the arithmetic, but if we can fire off a Mexican every few seconds, well—we’re done before too very long!
And NASA already has a lot of hands-on experience dealing with our Hispanical Latin-speaking amigos. So this is really cutting edge stuff, let’s go!
YES, then they will self deport and think of the money we would save.
What they NEVER CONSIDER is that there may well be INCENTIVES for people to leave.
As Trump has promised, “the best” will be quickly allowed back. So, if I were Trump, I would MAKE IT CLEAR that it would be first-come, first-serve. If this is the case, I’d expect MILLIONS to quickly head home on their own, to apply for a chance to return legally.
Likewise they NEVER CONSIDER that there may well be a price for staying, such as being PERMANENTLY BARRED from entering the US.
Put all that together and I seriously doubt there will ever be a need for roundups.
Moving on to crack down on Social Security fraud because that's hiw many illegals are managing to work using your and my (and our parents' and children's) social security information, which should be red flags to their employers, who choose to look the other way when a youthful Juan, Manuel or Jesus are working under the cards of 60 year old Henry, Walter, or Oscar!
Cracking down on any and all government resources going to illegals through their anchor babies, needs to stop immediately as well.
Without jobs, cash assistance and other resources, many illegals just might decide to head south, if not, then it's time begin getting out notices on Spanish language stations that the immigration and customs will be paying visits to businesses, schools and places where food stamps are exchanged and currency is sent to Mexico!

This is really interesting. If you look at the deportation stats when Bill Clinton was in office, it really is true that he deported well over 10 million people. If you do not believe the stats then you can go to the link provided to the DHS where it is all broken down there.
And it really does look like Obama will deport 3 million by the time he leaves. See “U.S. deportations of immigrants reach record high in 2013” at

So the question really becomes with 13 million deported between Clinton and Obama, how come there is no outrage about separating families and the inhumanity of it all when they were doing it? When Trump wants to deport 11 million separating families and the inhumanity becomes relevant. Why is there such a double standard? Clinton/Obama deported 2 million more than Trump wants to! You could argue that Trump is more humane deporting 2 million less.

Eisenhower proved that if you deport 1,000 illegal aliens then 10,000 more will flee the U.S.
Obama proved that if you deport 0 illegal aliens then 10,000,000 more will pour into the U.S.
What would it cost? How about how much would we save?
(1) Mobilize and build a significant rail passenger fleet. Could easily get enough cars on one train to move a 1000 (Supply w/MRE's and water). Build about 100 of these.
(2) Establish 5 huge deportation centers at San Diego, Nogales, El Paso, Laredo, and Brownsville.
(3) Presidential Executive Order revoking any citizenship where person was born in US, and gained citizenship only by means of being born here.
(4) Address whiners of humanitarian crisis, that these people snuck in, and can find their way back to original home in Mexico.
(5) Expand National Guard scope and manpower to round up lawbreaking illegal immigrants
Knowing we may have some logistical issues, I can see we still being easily able to move 11,000,000 back to Mexico after project deployment in 12-18 months.
The $300B assumes added infrastructure, jails, courts, and more ICE agents. It’s debatable any of that is necessary.
Estimates are 20% self deport, and as it stands now we can move 400,000 a year.
So we’re down to roughly 8.5M end of year one.
The cost isn’t even a drop in the bucket and there doesn’t need to be any hurry getting it done either. Especially if you get rid of the “good ole boy” protections.
Bump!
Big lines of Army trucks trucking their way to Meh-e-co City .... that’s what it would look like!
Let’s just say it would be like promised 70 virgins.....
I figure if America makes Trump president, at least 5 to 10 percent of the illegals will self deport by Inauguration Day 2017.
That is brilliant!
