Sure, after the war everyone said "I was in the resistance!" During the war, however, plenty of them were willfully doing the bidding of the Nazis in power, including turning in others. It's just a fact.

Not really. Most French did not do a doggone thing but claimed to have been with the Resistance after the war was won. It’s like all the people who claim to have been at Woodstock or marching at Selma.
