Hollande: 'We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless'
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/13/15 | Pete Kasperowicz

Posted on 11/13/2015 7:52:05 PM PST by markomalley

French President Francois Hollande promised early Saturday morning that France would respond to terrorist attacks that killed more than 120 people with a "pitiless" war against the group responsible.

"We are going to lead a war which will be pitiless," he said at the Bataclan, the site of one of the attacks, according to the Guardian.

"Because when terrorists are capable of committing such atrocities, they must be certain that they are facing a determined France, a united France, a France that is together and does not let itself be moved, even if today we express infinite sorrow," Hollande added.

Hollande's remarks came after what appears to be the biggest terrorist attack ever on French soil, and some emerging signs that the Islamic State is responsible.

They also may pose a challenge to the Obama administration, which has faced increasing criticism about whether its plan to "degrade and ultimately destroy" ISIS is working fast enough. Secretary of State John Kerry was in Vienna Friday for more talks about how to handle the Syrian civil war, which has been credited with creating the conditions for the Islamic State to thrive there.

"These are heinous, evil, vile acts," Kerry said in response to the attacks. "Those of us who can must do everything in our power to fight back against what can only be considered an assault on our common humanity."

George Bush's Megaphone Speech

Here's hoping History treats Hollande better than it has treated Bush.

Really. After decades of French weakness and inviting the terrorists into their country we’re supposed to believe him now?

Unless you plan on taking flame throwers to the Muslim slums that have sprouted up all over your city, Franz-wah, I’d say you’re as full of air as one of your fluffy kwah-sonts.

yes the Russian way

Well, if it is supposed to be pitiless, then I can't see any other way to do it.

"tells police WHO is behind attack"

Russian airliner, Beruit bombs, Paris.

All 3 by ISIS in 2 weeks.

Surely they will try something here next. Soon.

If you have lung cancer, you can not cure it by sticking a sword through your chest. So how will you kill your enemy France? Europe? It's in you. You are what you eat.

Who can give me a reason to believe it's not too late for Europe? Decades of policy has permanent consequences.

Does anyone really believe it's possible that it's not too late for Europe?

What reason is there to think it isn't, unless you're going to deport every muslimish person and lock the border.

Cancer surgery requires the courage to know you're removing a lot of healthy cells with the cancerous cells. You can't even stomach removing the cancerous cells - heck - you can't even tell the cancerous cells they are not part of your so called 'universal value system.' (When I quote Obama, I might as well be quoting Europe)

Who can cure suicide?

“Empty words from Francois”

Keep in mind that early in his Presidency, Hollande sent the French military to drive Al Quaeda in the Islamic Magreb (AQIM - a bunch of muslim mercenaries, formerly employed by Qadaffi) out of Northern Mali. They were ruthless and efficient, and quickly returned Timbuktu and the North to the control of the Central Government.

The French are more consistent than us in their foreign policy - it matters less who is the President there. A professional foreign policy elite, who went to the same schools, and tend to know each other well, keep a strong hand on the helm of foreign policy as administrations change.

Overseas, they have a history of unleashing Foreign Legoinaires, or less disciplined local surrogates, to do hard bloody work for them.

The French have significant combat capability that they can wield, including the aircraft carrier Charles DeGaulle, which is currently deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.

They could also arm Kurds with heavy weapons. Nobody kicks ISIS butts as hard or as frequently as Kurds.

I knew Charles Martel.

Mr. Hollande, you’re no Charles Martel.

And you will need to be, to rid your country of the Islamic swine which infests it.

Close the mosques, outlaw Islam and deport the Muslims.

There is no other way.

The war is already joined.

French and British are politically correct even if it kills them:

British and French e-newspaers never use the word “moslem” nor “islam” in any of the Paris ISIS moslem slaughter reports:-viz dailymail, theguardian, bbc, parismatch

Hollande might make good on his boast, but not because he is a French patriot. He would do it to preserve his own power and that of his party. If he does nothing, he and his party are toast. I am sure he realizes this.
