Reports are coming in from Paris on Friday afternoon of a shootout at a restaurant, and an explosion in a bar near the Stade de France stadium, where a soccer game between France and Germany was in progress. Multiple fatalities have been reported at the restaurant.
5:11 PM EST– The UK Telegraph reports that a man inside Bataclan theater was able to speak to Paris radio, and says he heard cries of “Allahu akbarâ€:

I can spell quite well, thank you very much. Nothing makes my teeth itch quite like words misspelled. Unfortunately, I type on these horrific little I-Phone virtual keyboards, and my spelling errors are always a result of my big thumbs not quite connecting with the proper key. In answer to your question, yes I am real, and my sense of humor tends to delve into the dark and ironic, which seemed to go over your head.

The café is usually packed on a Friday night, with dozens of people standing outside drinking or sitting on the terrace.
The Petit Cambodge is opposite the Carillon and is also always packed on a weekend night.
My guess is it’s more because they’re American than anything they’ve said

I feel so much better now. Would these be the same security that could not identify the Boston bombers? They had to put up pictures from the marathon and ask the people of Boston to id them. No clue at all who they were looking for even though their government warned us about them.
