Knife fight: Trump ad asks if Carson is a 'violent criminal or pathological liar'

Donald Trump hit Ben Carson in a new Instagram ad, in which he wondered if his fellow GOP front-runner is a "violent criminal" or a "pathological liar."

The ad, released in honor of Friday the 13th, features an old Carson interview where he describes an incident in his childhood when he tried to stab someone in the abdomen. The Carson clip is followed by a clip of an old neighbor of his who said he never knew Carson to be that violent of a person.

Directly following, Trump's team asks whether or not Carson is a "violent criminal or a pathological liar," adding that "we don't need either as president."

Spooky music plays throughout the ad, playing off Friday being Friday the 13th.

that’s what political opponents do.. if the guy you are running against has had mental health issues(and yes trying to murder two people or habitually lying about trying to murder two people qualifies for that)you would be an idiot not to point that out before the public starts to vote

I wish he would attack the REAL ENEMY -- the DEMS!!

Attack? Heck, until only a very few years ago, he donated more of his hard-earned money to "the DEMS!!!" than to Republicans, of $1.3 million, for every $47 dollars than went to the political campaigns of Republicans, $53 went to Democrats!

Oh, sure, as a businessman, it was only the cost of doing business, which is always pursuit of financial gain; it was only what he had to do to increase profits to his shareholders and himself.

In business, being apolitical -- without reference to politics -- is good for the shareholders, if often bad for the cause of liberty (helping to get Harry Reid elected, which Trump did as a "cost of doing business," harmed the cause of liberty, let's face it).

Businessmen should stay in business, where the goal is always to grow and prosper. Only a politician with a limited government political compass, one that has been consistent over the decades (look at Ted Cruz) has the mindset and the skills to do the opposite with government than what a businessman does with business. Government and politics should be worlds apart; politicians should represent us in matters of government, and businessmen should concern themselves with profiting themselves and their shareholders.

Leave politics to men guided by political compasses, and business to men who put politics aside to benefit financially. Had Trump not done that ... we'd never have heard of him. Had the Founders done what Trump did ... we'd never have heard of the USA. They not only put politics above financial gain, they put their properties, businesses and lives on the line for political principal, no "cost of doing business" to support the Crown.

I respect Trump, I love the guy, and I believe he is a true blue well-meaning patriot. But he is an apolitical businessman and showman at heart. Ted Cruz is a politician guided by pretty much the same political compass I follow, and which guided the Founders.

Cruz all the way to victory and liberty.

Put Trump back to doing what he does best -- increasing shares for his stockholders.

For how long, do you figure, the Trump team will be LAUGHING at this pathetic attempt for him to become a spineless jellyfish??

Trump is getting back to what worked for him in the past, and what brought him to number 1.

He is speaking his mind, holding no punches, and creating controversy (media mentions). People complained he was too mellow and in the background at the last debate. He wants to get back up top. He is using the information that Carson himself was foolish enough to put out.

...

He was just showing the aptitude to be a surgeon.

And lets see: Rubio used his Government credit card to buy a boat for $80,000.00 and had to mortgage his home to pay back the government credit card ...

So when we talking about a multi-billionaire compared to a junior senator that needs a million dollars a day to live on, that doesn't show up for the senate votes he's suppose to do for the State he represents as Senator, and he goes to Schumer and gets a ‘gang of eight’ bill written so he can be for amnesty....who is what now?????

The Lord took the knife meant for evil and turned it for good, don’t you know?

Jesus saves. Trump scores on the rebound.

Go Donald!

I agree with you about Ben Carson. That man is hinky, there are too many things out there that he’s having to explain away to think it’s all gobbledygook. I tend to think he is in fact a pathological exaggerator and tends to make up stories that make himself appear heroic, ‘saved,’ etc.

In any case, he is in no way qualified by experience, personality or background to be POTUS.

The primary fight is now. We have a year to attack Hillary, if she even limps out of charges for negligence at best and treason, at worst.

Trump is doing the work of a gladiator for the rest of the prim, proper, precise performers of our field to get the field set, and your sensibilities are waving a white handkerchief.

Sheesh.

Just say, “Thank you”.

Does anyone think what Trump is doing wouldn’t happen if Carson was the Republican Nominee? The DNC would do worse to Carson and everyone knows it.

Personally, I don’t think it’s a good tact for Trump, but it would be praised by the Media if the DNC was doing it.
The supposed outrage would disappear like Hillary’s Emails.

JMHO, your Mileage may vary.

Reuters has Trump at 34% and the next closest at a whopping 19% (Carson).

America seems to have tired of the politically correct patty cake crowd favorites, and are sticking with the old version of the American man.
