Donald Trump hit Ben Carson in a new Instagram ad, in which he wondered if his fellow GOP front-runner is a "violent criminal" or a "pathological liar."
The ad, released in honor of Friday the 13th, features an old Carson interview where he describes an incident in his childhood when he tried to stab someone in the abdomen. The Carson clip is followed by a clip of an old neighbor of his who said he never knew Carson to be that violent of a person.
Directly following, Trump's team asks whether or not Carson is a "violent criminal or a pathological liar," adding that "we don't need either as president."
Spooky music plays throughout the ad, playing off Friday being Friday the 13th.

It’s likely an embellishment by Carson over his series of so called attacks. Try to stick someone with a camp knife that breaks on a buckle. He hit someone with a lock. Another story that he tried to stab someone else, and attempted to hit his mom with a hammer. Mostly failures in his attacks?
It makes for a more compelling story to sell his book back in 90s. Yeah BS.
It’s on now.
Carson’s manager is going to stop giving him his tranks, and Carson is going to get medieval on Trump.
Perfect. Caught Carson. Either way he loses.
this needed to come out now before it’s too late.. Carson had mental health issues in his past and it’s a political killer.. Carson will never be elected President because of it.. there are lessons to be learned from the past

the guy tried to murder at least two people in his past and that’s fluff?
you really don’t know politics
I have posted this to every Trump FB and other site to which I have access. If you are also a supporter and can help, please do so.
PLEASE — if anyone with the Trump campaign is monitoring these sites — tell the candidate to back down the invective and ridicule. It is really hurting the campaign and causing some folks to rethink their support for one of the two men who can clear out the wreckage Obama is leaving behind! PLEASE?!?!
I understand. But The Donald needs to do what nearly every past candidate has done with that sort of factual info: Let other folks put it out there! I respect Trump’s honesty in doing so himself but it makes this otherwise good man seem petty and small to those who are not following these campaigns, candidates and issues as closely as we wonks are.
Then attack Hillary for crying out loud!!!
Trump is in the process of labeling Carson. He was effective with Bush and Fiorina. My guess is he will be just as effective with Carson.
Carson is a fraud.
Go Donald!
“you really donât know politics”
I do.
You don’t know God, though.
(So it seems)
Ben Carson admits he lied about West Point scholarship, insists stories about troubled childhood are true
Ben Carson admitted Friday that he lied about earning a prestigious scholarship to West Point while controversy over the validity of his troubled kid-to-renowned doctor narrative reached a crescendo.
The 2016 GOP candidate said he fabricated a part of his 1996 autobiography, âGifted Hands,â in which he claimed he was given a âfull scholarshipâ to the U.S. Military Academy just hours after he rebuked accusations that he lied about his violent outbursts as a child and teenager.
In the nearly 20-year-old book, Carson boasted about his transformation from rage-filled boy to refined neurosurgeon, describing how he once tried to hit his mother with a hammer and attempted to stab one of his friends to death.
His former classmates, however, said they donât remember the Republican as a rough kid.
âI don’t know nothing about that,â Gerald Ware, Carsonâs classmate at Detroitâs Southwestern High School, told CNN. âIt would have been all over the whole school.â
CNN spoke with nine people Carson grew up with. Not one remembered the Republicanâs self-proclaimed violent outbursts.
While Carson slammed the CNN report, calling it a âbunch of liesâ and âpathetic,â he did admit that there is at least one falsehood in the book: A story about how Gen. William Westmoreland offered the then-17-year-old a full-ride to West Point.
Carson said that as the leader of his high schoolâs Junior ROTC program, he attended a 1969 Memorial Day dinner for Congressional Medal of Honor winners. There, he met with General Westmoreland.
âLater I was offered a full scholarship to West Point,â he wrote.
Carson may have met Westmoreland at the 1969 banquet â which was held in February, not May â but the general would not have promised the student a scholarship, West Point told POLITICO. All costs are covered for admitted West Point students, so âfull rideâ scholarships donât exist.
Carson was âintroduced to folks from West Point by his ROTC Supervisors” at a banquet, Carsonâs campaign manager Barry Bennett said. While they may have discussed application process, Carson never applied or received a scholarship.
Instead, he attended Yale University before going on to the University of Michiganâs medical school.
West Point said it has no records of Carson applying to or enrolling in the academy.
Carson admitted he “doesn’t remember all the specific details” of meeting Westmoreland.
“Because I had done so extraordinarily well you know I was told someone like me - they could get a scholarship to West Point,” Carson told the New York Times.
Despite the scholarship lie, Carson defended the rest of the book Friday, saying all the stories about his violent childhood are true.
In the book, which was released in 1996, Carson claimed he once tried to strike his mother with a hammer as they argued over clothing. His brother Curtis stepped in and disarmed the boy before he could physically harm their mother.
Carson also said he physically attacked at least two of his school friends.
In the seventh grade he hit a boy named Jerry with a lock after he teased Carson for saying something âstupidâ in English class.
I swung at him, lock in hand. The blow slammed into his forehead, and he groaned, staggering backward, blood seeping from a three-inch gash,â Carson wrote.
Two years later, in the ninth grade, he tried to stab a friend who he identified in the book only as “Bob.” The blade stuck Bobâs belt buckle, breaking the blade and leaving the teen unharmed.
âI was trying to kill somebody,â Carson wrote of the knife attack, calling it a moment of âpathological anger.â
The teenage Carson ran to the bathroom after the failed stabbing and prayed. Since then, he has never had a problem with his temper, he claimed in the book.
Carsonâs classmates remembered him as introverted and studious â someone who was more likely to be found in the library than in the middle of a schoolyard fight.
Carson’s classmates have described him as a quiet, shy student, not an angry young man.
âHe was a quiet, shy kid, not too outgoing,â said his junior high and high school classmate Jerry Dixon. âBennie stayed home a lot or went to the library to work.â
Dixon said he is not the Jerry the doctor-turned-politician beat with a lock â and said he had never even heard of such an incident.
Carson refused to reveal the names of his victims in a Friday interview on CNN, saying to name them would be âvictimizing.â
He admitted that he changed the names in his autobiography, but maintained both âBobâ and âJerryâ are real people who will only be identified if they chose to come forward on their own.
âTell me what makes you think youâre going to find those specific people?â Carson asked CNN’s Alisyn Camerota. âWhat is your methodology? Because I donât understand it.â
Carson’s campaign adviser Armstrong Williams also refused to identify the candidateâs alleged victims or provide any kind of documentation showing disciplinary actions for his claimed school fights.
âWhy would anyone cooperate with your obvious witch hunt?â Armstrong Williams wrote to CNN in an email last week, the day before Halloween. âNo comment and moving on...... Happy Halloween!!!!!â
Donald Trump quickly weighed in on his rival’s controversy.
âThe Carson story is either a total fabrication or, if true, even worse-trying to hit mother over the head with a hammer or stabbing friend!â he tweeted
It looks like a bunch of people are suffering from Safe Space-itus, which is an acute inflammation of the Safe Space.
I see the usual Trump is done for sure this time types are right on time...
He did for several minutes last night going after Hillary.
Crass.
Good, but Carson can trip his own self up.
Trump doesn’t need to do that.
Don’t forget that Westmoreland wasn’t even in Detroit on Memorial Day in 1969, when Carson says he met him.
A few questions:
(1) Who would lie about trying to stab someone?
(2) Don’t you need to lie more than once to be a “pathological liar”?
(3) Before you accuse Carson of lying about an incident in his adolescence, shouldn’t you have more evidence than an “old neighbor” with absolutely no involvement in the incident?
you are ignorant if you think that matters to voters.. the guy is a wack job. I don’t mix my politics and my religion
Let’s see now...
Trump borrowed millions to keep his ventures out of bankruptcy.
It didn’t work.
Doesn’t that make Trump’s promises to repay those loans “lies”?
Glass houses. Stones.
Mittins isn't going to do anything....he folded under obuma, and the GOPe is using it as a scare tactic along with the media and talking heads....they want control and as long as Trump is on top of the polls, they don't have control...
Mudock and his cronies like McCain and Rubio and the rest of the gang of eight and others, want amnesty....that is what this whole campaign is about....Carson wants amnesty also...
I have 100% faith and trust in Trump and he will break this GOPe crap wide open...sit back and watch....
Oh and this part that people are saying about ‘poor little ben’ well Ben should have thought about that before he wrote the books that proves he lies....we already have a liar in the Rainbow Hut now, we don't need another one!
