“College”, as a good or service, is by definition, “scarce” and has to be rationed in some manner.
The biggest draw for socialism for the elitist leftists is to be the people who decide who gets it.
They sell it to inexperienced, “passionate” people like Keely by telling them “it’s all gonna be free”.
I would have asked her if she would be willing to forego the global warming scam in order to use that money to pay for college.

This is the way that many countries work. They don’t have the money to waste on “Womyn’s Studies” or “The Kardassian Phenomenon”. I know people from other countries who went to college in their countries free (some including stipends), entirely and strictly on the basis of aptitude testing. No amount of money can just “buy” you a seat at a university.
I posit that THAT to be a “fair” system.
BTW, most “foreigners” here believe that most undergraduate schools in the US are total crap and have been for 40 years. Graduate schools here, another story.
