Donald Trump was in Iowa tonight and gave a speech to thousands of supporters in Fort Dodge. He blasted all of his opponents, especially Ben Carson, who he repeatedly mocked and spoke about for 9 minutes.
He even does a little stabbing scene before asking what the hell is wrong with Iowa that Ben Carson is so close to him in the polls.

You miss the point. Building a majority does not come by insulting one’s opponents and their supporters on the way up.
We may have a general election where the nominees of each of the two major parties have nominated candidates hated by majorities of voting Americans.
I’m sitting back popping the popcorn.
You think he doesn't know that? He's COUNTING on them doing that. That's why he was REPEATING it during this speech.
When I did marketing business with New Yorkers, I frequently heard this "rule of thumb": "I don't care what you say about me as long as you mention my name."
How's life been for you there, under that rock?
You are not sitting back. You could though for as much difference you would make. Eat your popcorn, this election is too important for you to be involved in it.
It makes sense that Trump is p.o.'ed about the media manipulation of Carson's numbers. It makes no sense whatsoever that so many Republicans would actually vote for him based solely on his moral stance, while ignoring all the squishy unknowns, especially after the last White Guilt votes. So... Trump was in bomber mode in this rally. He was speaking to the press as much as about Carson.
I am actually looking forward to his comments to Hillary's face, should she survive to be nominated.
Words have meaning. "Is" an embarassment? Have you never learned that behavior does not define a person, and all fall short of the glory of God?
"Totally" unfit? Seriously? Have you never checked the Trump International web site and considered the depth of experience, national and international, represented therein, and what it would mean to have a real seasoned executive as head of the Executive Branch? Usually, we get lawyers or politicians, and look how that has turned out.
After watching that video, you should be praying he does. I fully believe he's not stable and should be nowhere near the White House.
For God's sake, imagine him in life or death talks with some other leader who's prepared to shoot off nukes our way.
If you’re referring to the Carson segment, he’s hardly deranged. He was over-the-top on his speech but nothing he said was untrue and nothing he said indicated he’s not stable.
We’ll see but there’s usually subtext when he goes off like this, something he wants others to discuss and unearth.
So you’re going back to your position of Trump being..what was it...a man with every virtue of the great commanders with none of their vices...a man without wrong...a Caesar with no ambition...a Washington without reward? As gentle as a woman and pure as a virgin?
It’s time to wake up, quit with the quasi-religious worshipful keening hymns to the man and understand the reality that he isn’t Presidential material.
The whole nine minutes indicated instability.
The fact that some of his diehards are trying to spin it as part of his brilliant 3-D chess game is...well, disturbing doesn’t begin to describe it.
The "Church of Nice" is destroying this country right alongside of the communist and atheist activists. If you had a crime-ridden neighborhood and you couldn't afford to move, would you get a soft, cuddly cat for a watchdog, or would you get a big, healthy Doberman or mastiff? This nation is being overrun by lawlessness and lies. We need an attack dog, not the type of Christian who is participating even as I write in bringing Islamists to this country, believing that their complete and utter opposition to everything Christ taught is no threat to our children.
We are called to be wise as serpents as well as gentle as doves. Remember, even Satan can quote scripture. Do not be deceived.
You’re the one trying to spin it. He went after Carson with Carson’s own words. He spent inordinate amounts of time bringing Bush down and the world didn’t try to paint him as crazy.
Could be, like the GOPe, you’re getting scared that he’s still not out. I can see that.
I'm sure Vladimir Putin and ISIS will be glad to extend him every courtesy, since he is so nice.
The Uniparty’s Media Attack Machine is playing this up as “a rant”.
What thread would be complete without the leader of TDS trolls!
What is he thinking? Or not thinking.
Nine minutes blasting a candidate who is on his way out anyway?
How about blasting Hillary or Obama.
Trump needs to take a few days off.
Carson gets a temporary bump in the polls and Trump loses his mind.
He is totally wasting his time and chipping away at his seriousness by doing this.
Why???
Ed Morrissey shared my thoughts earlier. A few commenters at Hot Air understand, too. I realize that not everyone understands the conservative Christian base, which also includes conservative Catholics, of course. I simply wrote this as a political reality - that Trump does not understand. Joking around about "Saint Peter" or "God" in the sense of cartoon jokes, etc. is what I'm trying to explain. It's just that perhaps he doesn't understand his base - he may very well capture 20% of Republican primary voters, but this thing is divided into factions for real, now. I'm not sure that he's wise for doing it.
Finally, Trump misses the entire point of Carson's memoir. He admits to his violent temper as a way of explaining his redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. It intends to inspire young people by showing that they are not "incurable," but can prevail over difficult circumstances and unhappy childhoods. Whether one supports Carson as a presidential candidate, most people can read his story and find inspiration and hope. Trump, for some reason, only sees child molesters, and that says much more about Trump than it does Carson. Of all the temperaments that need more scrutiny, Donald Trump just proved that his is the most questionable of all. -Ed Morrissey
This is the first really major mistake Trump has made. He is not religious, so he doesn't have a frame of reference for the "conversion," "repentance," "born again" aspect of Christianity. So, he is blowing it with Christians. In addition, all Americans love a redemption story, which Carson has. Carson was beginning to face on his own. Now, Trump has not only really hurt himself, he has breathed life back into Carson! I liked Trump, but now I am looking around. Probably going with Cruz. If Rubio gets it, I'm out. He will NOT secure the border and is just a newer, more verbally adroit version of Bush. Whitewolf7070 on November 13, 2015 at 10:48 AM
As I am someone who has faithfully voted Republican virtually every time I have been permitted to vote since 1978, kicking folks like me to the curb will not build chump trump a winning majority. Hordes of us will sit back and watch. I am glad. Chump trump will be denied the presidency. The alternatives may be grim, but nothing would be worse for America than a chump trump presidency.
Apparently Trump saves his big attacks for anyone who has a rise in the polls over him ... even a temporary one.
Are you saying that when he and Cruz are left or when Cruz gets a bump over him that he will attack Cruz?
That would be a huge mistake for both of them.
Does Trump WANT Hillary to win? What is the point in trying to destroy Carson?
Carson’s book may be filled with odd lies but it’s stupid of Trump to be the one to bring it up.
