Ted Cruz, in an interview with Laura Ingraham was asked about his position on H1-B Visas. Ted explains his position now as opposed to his position in 2013. Cruz and Sessions are crafting legislation to reform the H1-B program and to deal with he abuses that are harming American workers.
The entire interview is excellent and the H1-B visa issue discussion begins around the 7:50 mark.
.
that’s my impression as well ...
some of his campaign staff were provided the link to the open letter posted at Free Republic ...
.
I hope you are right.
Even Ingrahm got the number wrong.
It's 315,000+ H-1B visas PER YEAR!
Cruz and Rubio can sponsor H-1B visas from China to take their American jobs in the US Senate in that 500% increase. Along with massage therapists and administrative assistants. They already screwed over the STEM professionals in this country with their stupidity.
Cruz told Bret Baier that he supposts suspending legal immigration until illegal immigration is under control.
Wait until Cruz and Sessions legislation comes out.
Good Work, Patton!!
Cruz didn’t say a damn thing about decreasing H-1B in your badly headlined link. We’ll still import Chinese H-1B visas to take STEM jobs from unemployed Americans according to Cruz.
NumbersUSA ran ads during the GOP debate specifically about H-1B throughout the Western states.
Rubio and Cruz are dead in the water here along with the rest of the Cheap Labor Express candidates.
I’ve searched the Union Leader and google and can’t find any link either.
You need to listen at the 7:50 mark. The headline stands.
Listen at the 7:50 mark. The headline is correct.
.âI am working very, very closely with Jeff Sessions to introducing legislation to fundamentally reform the H-1B program to prevent these abuses. I am very troubled by these abuses.â
Jeff Sessions office was contacted for comment and he affirmed that indeed he was working with Cruz on legislation to reform the program.
You better listen again:
When Ingraham asked Cruz whether he wanted to increase the number of foreign workers imported into the United States, Cruz said, âI donât believe thatâs a good idea.â - See more at: http://www.teaparty.org/ted-cruz-opens-fire-rubio-fought-tooth-nail-try-jam-amnesty-american-peoples-throats-129302/#sthash.dFID5wsa.dpuf
You still don’t get it do you. He was working with other Senators, I think Sessions, Lee & Grassley to defeat the Gang of Eight who had joined up with the dems to pass their immigration reform.
A long list of amendments were offered to them by these 4 Senators that included protections for American workers and securing our borders and other reforms to reign in illegal immigration. You can see the list of amendments here:
http://genius.com/Senator-ted-cruz-open-letter-on-gang-of-eight-immigration-bill-annotated
The senators were essentially saying “Here, you said we have a shortage of workers and jobs that cannot be filled by Americans. So let’s increase the number of work VISAS. Let’s give you what you say you want. However, we also want an increase in wages for these foreign workers and they cannot be paid less than an American worker would be paid for the same job. The company must prove that they cannot fill the jobs with American workers.” In other words, they called them on their own BS. The need for foreign workers wasn’t the issue. Bringing more dem voting foreigners into the country was the issue and that was clear by the actions of the Senate.
If the companies have to pay the same wage as they would to an American employee, prove that the job cannot be filled by an American and pay the fee for the visa why would they want to import a foreign worker? Get it?
But then again, I think the point of this outrageous propaganda is not to get at the truth but to smear Ted Cruz.
Most of this type of garbage has already been debunked again and again here on FR. I guess the anti-Cruz crowd is going to have to go back to the simple “He can’t win” argument and convince us how a candidate that attracts democrat votes is a conservative.
I listened to the whole thing twice. Your headline still sucks.
Cruz should drop out so a positive conservative message can emerge. You know, one that won’t force STEM professionals to lose their jobs to cheap labor from China. Because according to Cruz, more H-1B visas equals more job creation!
We need a moratorium and then a reduction from the 1.1 million per year we've been taking for quite a few years. Cruz is just falling in with Trump's written policy, even though Trump has contradicted his own policy on a few details recently.
But there is no way the US needs as many immigrants and guest workers as have been accepted for too long. Just a program for the elite to flood the country with workers of all skill levels and hold down wages.

Sen. Cruz Amendment to Immigration Legislation to Increase H-1B Visas
This is public Senate testimony. I’ll remind you Ted Cruz told the American people in the first GOP debate that he’d never lie to them.
The context was illegal immigration, not H-1b visas.
I assure you I’m not a stupid individual. Please quit treating me like one.
Then stop acting like one.
I understand you have zero problem with Americans not only losing their jobs, but training their imported replacements. You may not have an issue with entire cities and towns equivalently replaced by imported workers. That’s your prerogative.
There is no bigger issue than immigration. None. When the unemployment rate is 0%, then we can talk about visa programs.
We cannot have someone anywhere near the Oval Office who has a public past working against the American people on immigration. That means Rubio, Bush, and the rest of the bench.
.There is no bigger issue than immigration. None.
Sorry I don’t agree with you. While very important if we are all dead it won’t really matter will it. We are on the verge of WWIII as well. Our Constitutional Republic has been destroyed. I’m not a one-issue voter. Repair the Constitution and all the rest will fall back into place.
There are quite a few on the list of “very important and crucial” issues that are vital to our survival. Immigration isn’t the only one.
