Whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, “Raca!” shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, “You fool!” shall be in danger of hell fire (Matt 5:22).
As for tastes in acting, like everything else, it is individual. One person I consider a great actor is Kevin Klein. I didn’t consider him until watching Dave and the transformation from Dave to the President early in the movie with body language that I realized how good he is.
Like Eastwood, Wayne’s personality came through over his career and he brought that to his work.
I’m not sure what a biblical quote has to do with acting. I reiterate: acting is an art like painting and ballet. You have to know the techniques, the rules, the conventions before rendering an opinion. Mr. Eastwood is very different than Mr. Wayne. You can only understand that from years of studying films and theater, attending acting class and speaking with actors and directors and producers - people who are more knowledgeable than me or you. In other words, it is a profession; it is not easily accessible to amateurs or nonprofessionals. You are entitled to your opinion; that doesn’t make it an educated opinion.
