Target is selling a sweater that makes light of OCD, which isn't so funny to some of the people who actually have the disorder.
The red sweater is emblazoned with the acronym OCD, followed by the words "Obsessive Christmas Disorder."
Customers who know that OCD actually stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder are demanding that Target take the sweater off its shelves and online store.
"I'm calling on @Target to remove the #OCD sweater!" tweeted someone identifying herself as "the original #OCDiva."
The issue lit up social media, with legions of the offended vowing that Target would get on their naughty list unless it got rid of the sweaters.
But Target won't do it. The outcry was large enough, however, to prompt Target to respond.
"We never want to disappoint our guests and we apologize for any discomfort," said Target in a prepared statement. "We currently do not have plans to remove this sweater."

They cannot be derided enough.
Some people have Obsessive Crybaby Disorder.
Might as well have the letters GAY.
A new coworker informed me that she had OCD, as she busily arranged the papers, etc. on MY desk. I told her we would call it Compulsive Obsessive Disorder, then I could just call it cod. Made her angry, but I never heard about her personality disorder again.
Who is complaining?
This is what our country is becoming....shouting those down, via the megaphone of social media, who slight or have a different view. This will get very ugly.
Someone needs to share with these folks the wisdom that they are not their diagnosis.
People very much like the people who are offended by “Redskins”. Activists.
These people are obsessed!
People used to have character flaws. Now they have medically dismissible “disorders.”
Silly Outrage.
Yeah, she tweeted over-and-over.
For some very sad, shallow people, it's all they've got.

Yeah well, museums won’t stop displaying the piss Christ either- oh well
I guess Target thinks the OCD crowd won’t be able to pull off a concentrated protest.
Years ago when I was starting in a new development group, they flew everyone to one city for a bit meetup. I sat down next to one guy at lunch and the table shifted and his knife rotated just a bit. He quickly straightened it. I reached over and made it crooked again, he straightened it, I did changed it one more time.
He looks at me and loudly says WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
I smirk and said... seeing if you are OCD.
He loudly says YES!!!!! Then starts laughing.
We actually got along great after that :)
It actually says “Christmas?” Call it a win and move on.
I just wish Target had enough guts to confront these crybabies and say “We’ll stop selling htem as soon as you guys force the museums to stop displaying antichristian crap. When you;ve accomplished that- come back and we’ll have a little chat- till then go pound sand”
