Target is selling a sweater that makes light of OCD, which isn't so funny to some of the people who actually have the disorder.
The red sweater is emblazoned with the acronym OCD, followed by the words "Obsessive Christmas Disorder."
Customers who know that OCD actually stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder are demanding that Target take the sweater off its shelves and online store.
"I'm calling on @Target to remove the #OCD sweater!" tweeted someone identifying herself as "the original #OCDiva."
The issue lit up social media, with legions of the offended vowing that Target would get on their naughty list unless it got rid of the sweaters.
But Target won't do it. The outcry was large enough, however, to prompt Target to respond.
"We never want to disappoint our guests and we apologize for any discomfort," said Target in a prepared statement. "We currently do not have plans to remove this sweater."

I don’t know if I’d want the OCD crowd mad at me. I mean once they get hold of something... ;^)
I think it all started with the "alcoholism is a disease" campaign of the late '60s.
It might have started before that.
But I was in my early teens back then, and I distinctly remember thinking "that doesn't sound right" when I heard it on TV.
It was in Public Service Announcements, and it was also taken up on several television shows of the time. Writers wrote an alcoholic episode into one or two doctor shows, I'm pretty sure.
I’m so worried about what if they don’t remove it?
What if everybody wears one?
Oh no I can’t sleep....
So people with OCD are upset about a shirt that doesn’t have the right words for OCD. Imagine that, they don’t like it when the details are not right.... Who knew?
I like it, I want one! I am pretty sure our family suffers from that.
I’m mildly OCD. I was in a meeting with a judge a few months back with two other lawyers in the room. I realized I had sat there and trimmed and deadheaded the potted plant on her desk. As I sat there with the trimmings hidden in my hands and thinking about whether to put them in my purse or my briefcase, she very nicely handed me the wastebasket. My house however is something of a disaster so I don’t bring it home with me.
My neighbor is major OCD and he is the nicest guy you would ever want to meet (don’t know how anyone lives with him though). He just likes things they way he likes them, period.
Planted his shrubs 12” (measured with a ruler) apart. Takes the tires off his cars (bought & traded 14 in the last 6 years all the same color WHITE) to clean them. Power washed his roof. Third new flooring in house in last 6 years. After vacuuming he makes sure all the tassels on the rugs are laying in the right direction. Cleans his 30 year old daughter’s room (she still lives with them). His wife (who is also a very nice neighbor & friend) drinks A LOT & I don’t blame her!
It may not have sounded right; but it may have gotten some people into treatment by removing the stigma somewhat...

Damn they don’t need to be so obsessively compulsive about it! Can we somehow direct the offensiveness more to people of color than Whites, just so we can stay consistent.
Good!
I have CDO.
That’s OCD, but with the letters in the proper order.
The "Me" generation, a sign of the times.
Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Matthew 11:16-17 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
I expect that the people complaining about the Starbucks cups would be a target market for the shirts.
In short, let Un-PC flourish.
My wife needs the CDO sweater.
CDO is the same as OCD except...
THE LETTERS ARE IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER, JUST AS THEY SHOULD BE!!
I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD. I don’t have OCD.

Yep- it’s all coming true- another prophesy proving true-
In just 7 short years I’ve witnessed this country go from one of relative decency and respect, to just what the bible described- I’ve been an eye witness to the downfall of society sadly- While it’s not 100% yet, the percentage is getting greater all the time- until there will be only a small remnant of those who still value morality and decency and respect-
See my post #35....
I tell the joke while loudly emphasizing the importance of order....thus, the CAPS.
(sorry, didn’t see you’d already hit the punch line.)
Objective truths - reality and reason - have been replaced by whatever the modern progressive “thinker” deems it to be at any given moment.
The mob by nature is fickle and unstable, so its truth-as-concensus foundation is as sturdy as sand. And here we are, at high tide.
