The two Republican presidential debates on the Fox Business Network are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. EST tonight. They are being held at the Milwaukee Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The 'kiddie table'at 7 p.m.: Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
The main event at 9 p.m.: Donald Trump of New York, Dr. Ben Carson of Florida, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina of California, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
FBN described the debates and moderators:
The first debate will be one hour in length and moderated by FBN anchors Trish Regan, Sandra Smith & WSJ's Washington Bureau Chief Gerald Seib.
The second debate will span two hours and be moderated by FBN anchors Maria Bartiromo, Neil Cavuto and WSJ Editor-in-Chief Gerard Baker.
The debates will focus on the most important business and economic issues facing the United States including job creation, social security and taxes.
40 million Americans are out of work. 40 million illegals, H1Bs and supposed refugees are either on the taxpayer dole or taking jobs from Americans, and no host touches the subject? It economically and directly hurts millions of Americans either with their jobs or higher taxes?
How much better would this (and all) debates be with one simple modification:
Trap Doors. You get 10 seconds spill over after the bell. Then...splash.
Speak out of turn? Splash.
The candidates could come back. But they have to slog back up to the podium in the soaking wet suit. Next offense? Splash, then we turn on a high speed fan under your podium when you return.
I thought this debate was about economics
Carson is putting me to sleep zzzzzzzzzzz
Carson is nervous. Hitting Hillary.
If Rand would just stick to what he knows best - the Constitution and the economy - he would do a lot better.
It’s just bullshit. Clinton inherited an improved economy because of Reagan but especially the Republican takeover of Congress in 1994 and the shrinking of the deficit due to Newt & Company, and then notice how the bald Marxist used the year 2000 as the high-water mark...
And then the dot.com bubble burst but no one blames Slick... But Dubya inherited Slick’s downturn which was topped off by 9/11....
So that’s a REAL analysis of what happened.
Simple democrat answer look, Clinton good, Bush bad. Obama? Seriously, how did he get left out?
Carson”thanks for NOT asking about what I said in the tenth grade “
Kaboom-> he brings it straight to Hillary! Well done dr C!
OMG ROFL ROFL Awesome ladies!!
Carson just nailed Hillary!
You two — get a room. :-)
It’s longer ago than that.
“Kasich shouldnât be up thereâand he should shut up...”
Kasich taking the oxygen out of the room. Hopefully he can take Jeb and Paul with him.
Excellent, Carson gets it out there about Hillary’s serious lie in contrast to his exaggeration about the scholarship.
Carson did us proud on that answer...
Nice answer be Dr. Ben.
He’s she didn’t really answer the question. I could have answered better.
Trump’s question — ILLEGALS AND EXECUTIVE ORDERS...great answer
