The two Republican presidential debates on the Fox Business Network are scheduled for 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. EST tonight. They are being held at the Milwaukee Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The 'kiddie table'at 7 p.m.: Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
The main event at 9 p.m.: Donald Trump of New York, Dr. Ben Carson of Florida, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina of California, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.
FBN described the debates and moderators:
The first debate will be one hour in length and moderated by FBN anchors Trish Regan, Sandra Smith & WSJ's Washington Bureau Chief Gerald Seib.
The second debate will span two hours and be moderated by FBN anchors Maria Bartiromo, Neil Cavuto and WSJ Editor-in-Chief Gerard Baker.
The debates will focus on the most important business and economic issues facing the United States including job creation, social security and taxes.
Santorum makes great points about VA hospitals and their declines. (I have had skin in this game. My father, a Marine, was sent from a VA hospital room to the morgue of a VA hospital for a day because they couldn’t even tell that he was alive.)
I was curious if you are in Hobbs as that is my Permian Basin “Vacation” home (hahaha) but I haven’t visited for about 2 years now... and really miss the guys I worked with. Anyways, looked up the tour schedule... and sure enough Willie will be there on the Sunday after Thanksgiving... and the Lea County Convention Center is saying they are honoring tickets for a show that was cancelled because of an ice storm last January.
I half want to fly out to visit old friends and see ol’ Willie... but I would have a weird expectation that things would be exactly the same... including Nick at the steakhouse over at Hobbs Family Inn serving up his spicy potato bacon soup, loaded stuffed potatoes, porterhouse steaks with asparagus... just like always... things change.
The blonde asked respectful VA question...
The red head...not so much.
Jindal gave a good VA answer.
I’m hearing Trump’s issues touted, VA, Syrian refugees, putting China in place, etc.
Exactly!
Yeb should go home...only the GOPeeeee is propping him up.
FBN may be overwhelmed with people trying to use the stream.
I got the error also.
Jeb’s got a meeting with donors right after debate. I’m wondering what he’s going to spring.
Next question is on how to restore 'sense of duty' to the public. This has an easy answer. The public responds to threats and enemies. If there isn't one, the government will create one. In the alternative, if there is a threat, and the government "approves" of the threat, then create a different threat.
No she wasn’t and TCM shows movies with Norma in them, all the time !
Christie just slapped the current C-I-C about lack of respect of men&women in uniform (LEOs included).
Yippee!
Closing statement time!
I hope they applaud him all the way out the door and back to FL....
Somebody should ask Jindal about this.
Three major cities in Louisiana are listed among a US State Department Refugee Public Affiliate Directory which supposedly contains a list of 180 cities in the country where 10,000 Syrian refugees may be resettled.
Christie has brought up twice that he was in uniform for 7 years.
Well, Kasich’s father was in a uniform, too. [mailman]
The kiddie table is pathetic...
Tonight could be a nail in the coffin for Yeb.
Jeb has a meeting with George Soros after the debate tonight?
Thanks for the ping! I have my snacks all ready for this.
tuned in for the 2nd debate. thanks for the link
