IIRC
Obama met with security adviser around 5:00 p.m.
Around 7:00 p.m. he and Hillary talked (via phone).
Just after 10:00 p.m. the State Dept issued the statement that blamed ‘Internet material’.
It came out at the Clinton deposition for the House committee that Clinton was home (Georgetown house) that evening.
Obama reappeared the next morning for his flight to the West Coast.

The generals cannot cross borders without fresh orders to do so from the president. So, silence from potus= stand down.

They didn’t have to order a stand down- by being absent there was no President to grant cross border authority.
I’m sure she’ll be asked about this in the next Democrat ‘debate’... Right after she’s asked about her favorite flavor of ice cream.
