Cruz wanted to increase the h1-b Visa Program 500%. Trump wants to end it.

This is more Trumpette fantasy. There hasn't been this much fantasy projection into a candidate by his supporters since Barack Hussein Obama. Trump's immigration policy includes modifying H-1Bs, but he has said nothing about ending them. And there's that little contradiction between Trump's web site policy which bashes Zuckerberg for wanting more H-1Bs and Trump's debate answer where he said he's all what Zuckerberg wants.

Increase prevailing wage for H-1Bs.

Requirement to hire American workers first. Too many visas, like the H-1B, have no such requirement.

Blatant dishonesty. Trump's plan doesn't merely "modify" in some minor, insignificant way. It raises wage standards and initiates an American first workers policy. Employers must choose from domestic pool before hiring.

There is no question that this is far superior to Ted Cruz.

I erred in my contributing to the continuing comparison regarding Trump and Cruz on this regard.

The subject here is was about Cruz but there is an awful lot of deflection occurring on this thread.

Cruz attempted to increase the H1-B program by a great multiple.

That program as its feature is designed to provide jobs to citizens of foreign countries. That is a notion that is rooted in sheer idiocy. The suggestion that foreign workers ought to be given any sort of preference in this country is ludicrous.

You can dress it up any way you choose, the fundamental fact us that the H1-B is a jobs program for non Americans. No Senator or other politician ought to be supporting such a program.
