Levin is trying to make this about Trump and it’s not. It is about vetting a candidate that is running on his “life story”. If all Carson is bring to the table is a compelling life story then why is taking a close look at the truthfulness of that story a bad thing?

What is needed at present is to exclude everyone from this and focus on finding the truth. Eliminate everybody else—Trump, Cruz, and all the other candidates—and determine the truth. If Carson cannot stand the scrutiny, if his stories do not hold up, he must step aside. If they do, so be it. This is a rough business and we need someone who can not only take the heat but whose policies will be good for our nation.
I cannot support many of his ideas, but that is my preference.
