As we squeak and jibber about the distant danger of terrorism, this country stands on the brink of a real threat to its economy......
It is a threat we have brought on ourselves by embracing an obsessive pseudo-scientific dogma.......
Last week we came within inches of major power blackouts, though official spokesmen claim unconvincingly that all was well.
Experts on the grid have for some time predicted a crisis of this sort, but had not expected it anything like so soon, or in such warm weather conditions. It is the fact that they were taken by surprise that warns us there may be worse to come...
Forests of hideous, useless, vastly subsidisied windmills predictably failed to help-because there was no win. Acres of hideous, useless, vastly subsidised solar panels predictably failed to help because it was dark.
Several perfectly good coal-fired power stations failed to help because we recently shut them down and blew them up. We did this in obedience to European Union regulations......
Meanwhile, China builds a new coal-fired power station every few weeks and fills the atmosphere with soot and carbon dioxide......
Craziest fact of all: if things get really desperate, the Grid will resort to banks of back-up diesel generators, perhaps the least green form of energy there is. And if they can't cope, a country wholly dependent on electrically powered computers will go dark and silent, as our competitors laugh....
As I have pointed out here in the past, the world has seen this sort of madness before, when dogma has been allowed to veto common sense.
This is what happened to the Soviet Union....
The inflexible, intolerant cause of Warmism is not as bad as Leninism......
They are hustling us into the Third World, while saving nothing at all......

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
I love the obvious connection to Don Quixote. The left puts up their dragon windmills and our job is to grab Sancho Panza and tear them down.
January 1994. I remember it very well, living in an apartment with electric heat and no electricity. A lot of neighbors had frozen pipes. The death and destruction will be on Obama’s head, but the MSM will blame Bush.
Wrong ! GLOW-BULL warming is all computer based projections.
Garbage in / Garbage out !
It is all just a pogram to redistribute wealth (thru taxation) and geographicly relocating manufacturing centers.
It is not pseudo-scientific, it is pathological psycho-science , which has all the characeristics of a religion !.
I love the obvious connection to Don Quixote. The left puts up their dragon windmills and our job is to grab Sancho Panza and tear them down.
Raise the price on electricity high enough and demand will go down. Burning furniture to stay warm akin to a third turd country.
The leftist morons that put all those wind turbines up do not understand physics. You cannot take energy out of the climate without changing it.
Yeah, that is obamao's plan......sniff, sniff.....
Not according to Ben Carson:
My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,
Now all the archaeologists think that they were made for the pharaohsâ graves. But, you know, it would have to be something awfully big if you stop and think about it.
And I donât think itâd just disappear over the course of time to store that much grain.
Those of us who do not starve in the initial winnowing will be permitted to adopt an agrarian lifestyle and grow them food. We can even watch their corporate jets take off from the nearby airport as we pause our oxen, look up from our plows and wipe the sweat from our faces, knowing that although we can again never join them in their world at the very least we will be able to derive satisfaction from reading about our betters in the tabloids - and we can even take a moment while resting from our labors to thank them for saving the planet.
The solution is war and death
So long as there are envirowackos there can be no peace
Bill Nye / professional appellation of “The Science Guy” (in his own mind) has a new book (Unstoppable) coming out PROVING that climate skeptics are ever so wrong. Be prepared for a massive MSM publicity event as the author is a scientist, engineer, comedian, and inventor with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University where he had Carl Sagan as a professor! (Publicity blurb!)
I do try to keep an open mind but what I do see is constant failed predictions that are forever excused. Still the proponents continue their efforts, couched in a religious-type fevor that force increased government, increased costs, decreased personal freedom and yet yield minimum results unless we revert to a non-industrial world!
When I was in high school, I read Ayn Rand’s futuristic dystopian novelette Anthem. One of its themes was that technology had been erased, and people were back to carts and wagons and candles in that nightmarish regimented society. I enjoyed the book, but it never entered my mind that it could really happen. I was so wrong; that now seems to be what is being pushed. Rand did a fairly decent job as a prophet.
“You cannot take energy out of the climate without changing it.”
WRONG!
WE CANNOT CHANGE CLIMATE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Natural forces of the solar system and the earth itself can only change the climate. Every other futile action that man thinks he can do to change it is a “fool’s errand” for a single volcano can undo all that the fools think they have accomplished since the dawning of the farce called “global warming.”
Furthermore, stop and think how utterly stupid any (and all) of those who believe in global warming and the ability to stop it will (and can not) explain what made the ice ages and what melted them.
It’s simply political science literally! Natural science is far removed from “save the earth” liberal thinking.
I'm pretty sure wind-turbine generators heat the air around them.
Energy produced from tidal generators likely also do the same--but to sea water.
Nuclear-powered generators heat the Earth even more. (Cooling towers and canals exchange cool air for hot water's heat). Is it "enough"? There is too much computer-generated data being used to bad effect.
The greatest missed opportunity in British energy planning, however, is the pitifully small attention paid to the potential of tidal generation: which, unlike either wind or solar, is entirely predictable and regular, and for which the British coastline, which has some of the world's largest tidal ranges, is ideally suited.
