Actually the whole team has joined the walk-out. Lord knows what the university president was supposed to do. But I doubt there is anything he could have done that would have made the students happy.

Cancel the football program for the year and recruit a new team in the meantime.
Every one of the players refusing to play, would forfeit their position.
