Missouri coach Gary Pinkel shared a message of support for the Tigers' players of color that are choosing to strike until university president Tim Wolfe either resigns or is removed from his post.
"The Mizzou Family stands as one. We are united. We are behind our players," Pinkel wrote on Twitter, adding the #ConcernedStudent1950 hashtag to the message.
These Tigers started their protest on the heels of increased racial tensions that have bubbled up on Missouri's campus, most recently involving an incident on Oct. 24 when a swastika carved with smeared feces was put up on the wall of a new dormitory.

The perp is probably sitting in the top photo.
Look at their record. It seems the only thing they are uniting for is to avoid practicing for three more losses.
What can we say, Coach? We’re rilly gonna Mizzou!
Au contraire. I think the coach senses that he's in trouble and is latching onto this as insurance against his being fired for poor performance.
If I were the university president, I'd surreptitiously upgrade the surveillance cameras and try to catch the perp(s).
Couldn't they do a DNA analysis on the...um...evidence?
Sorry for shouting. It just infuriates me that the NFL gets a free minor-league program called college football, and supposedly respected institutions of higher learning pander to semi-literate thugs in order to play games. Just shut down the money machine and let the ghetto thugs go to college in the hood.
Are the Jewish players and students at issue with the swastika? Or amI missing something here?
Yup. Then discon the Football program and threaten the rest. then DC those to set an example. And eliminate THEIR scholarships.
Play to win.
Fine, let them strike and go somewhere else. School does not need them.
“I already feel that the campus is an unliveable place” = I’m not academically qualified to be here, and these courses are too hard.
The players refuse to play, and many/most are on athletic scholarships.
Their coach sides with them and refuses to do his job, and he is paid, paid well prolly.
The troops can’t dictate when they will and will not fight to their captain, and the captain to his commander.
Let `em go.
I do not understand what they expect from the president of the college. It isn’t as if he is the one painting graffiti on walls.
The only statement he need make is ‘We do not tolerate the wanton destruction of school or private property through graffiti by anyone, particularly offensive and racist graffiti. We will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone caught engaging in such behavior.’
I find it difficult to believe that any of these young men have not seen equally offensive graffiti every day of their lives in their home areas.
Agree. Fire his ass. And take away the scholarships from the protesting
black players.
You cannot let the inmates run the prison.
The other and most likely thing is that this is all orchestrated Kabuki from day 1. Kind of like MASH and ALL in the Family, Maude and those TV programs. Pure social engineering by white liberals using blacks as usual to push a white guilt/feminist/anti-american agenda.
Coach; “We suck this year. It must be racism!”
Seriously though considering their performance this year this is a good ploy. Don’t have to embarrass themselves on the field, not going to a bowl this year so why take a chance on getting hurt, and with the coach backing us we will probably get to keep our scholarships.
SEC should drop these whiners and try to get a better replacement, would Memphis be interested? (just kidding, maybe...)
My guess is Pinko is making around 5 mil/ season + bonuses.
And cancel the scholarships.
So Pinkel is demanding that the university president resign? That is the only conclusion I can draw from this. Does anyone familiar with the situation know if the president has actually bungled the situation through inaction or stupid comments, or is he merely being held up as a scapegoat or sacrificial lamb?
