Read my post #66. I think it was his own brother he tried to stab because he said in a press conference yesterday that it wasn’t a friend, but a relative. I believe that if he tried to whack his own mother with a hammer, that he would also go after his brother with a knife. I think this incident happened at home because it was never reported. That’s why there isn’t a record of the incident.
Conservatives can (and should) quibble about just how conservative Carson is. There are a lot of good reasons to oppose his candidacy.
The left doesn’t know or understand any of this. As you say, they have a visceral hatred of Christians. Yes, I know, people here will quibble about whether his denomination is orthodox Christian or not; to the Left thats all inside-baseball. He believes in Jesus, and doesn’t believe in Marx. For them, thats enough.
For them its enough that he attacked Obama publicly. For that alone he has to be brought down.
And any black Republican has to be destroyed. Think back to Clarence Thomas. He undercuts one of their central “narratives”.
There are lots of good reasons to attack Carson from a conservative perspective. Any candidate who piles onto a media lynching, though, disappoints me.
The MSM are trying to raise the SDA issue in a sly way, as they did with Romney’s Mormonism, by suggesting that is a problem for evangelicals. The other day, a story pointed out that Romney “only” got 80% of the evangelical vote. The MSM is trying to paint Carson as a wacko, and one way is by pointing out his religious affiliation with an unpopular group.
Many do consider SDA a cult. I’m not sure what they are.
I believe that some kids did carry boom boxes to school back then. Maybe, maybe not but at any rate, he turned his life around. Are we supposed to hate him now for being less of a thug than he previously indicated?

I’ve asked some of his supporters the following question, and never get an answer:
If a slow talking, sleeping looking guy with absolutely no experience running anything, who supports amnesty, gun control, has stated that his goals and those of Al Sharpton are the same, and keeps a Farrakhan supporter on his staff, and was WHITE, would you support him or laugh him off the stage?
My belief is that if Carson were white, his poll numbers would be down there with Lindsey Graham.
White guilt is a much more powerful force than I among republican voters.
The issue was BOR smearing Ronald Reagan. George Will was defending Reagan against BOR.
Will may be a wimp and a hack at times but it seems to me that last night BOR was the hack.
I could buy that, but why would his brother not want to tell the actual truth now that Carson has already told it, assuming that it was the truth. Seems to me that his brother would be willing to back up his story since the media is going to check out all the close people now. If his brother does come out and corroborate the tale, it will change things, though that does not address the baseball bat, the lock story and so on. I learned a long time ago not to believe everything that I hear.

It was a written interview with Carson - in his own words. I just googled his name and found it. It has nothing to do with the accuracy or inaccuracy of google.
Do we know just when Carson contacted that "victim"? Was it recently after this issue was exposed, or before?
If it was Before, then why the contact? What was the need? Was he anticipating this to come out, or told it would to make him seem tough and had to get his witnesses lined up properly.
He told Hannity that was 50 years ago.....he can't remember details. Did he always remember the name of that "Victim" after all those years, with such a fuzzy memory.
So, that makes CATRUS conclusion more palatable, it probably was his brother an easy name to remember. Brother says "don't get me involved with your whatever".
In listening to him on Hannity, the "I can't recall" defense mode is the same as Hillary has.
MSM is going after Carson, exactly how they’ve been attacking Trump, for months.
It will be interesting to see how Carson handles all of this, and how it plays out, in the long run.
I don’t recall the conservative media wagons circling Trump as heartily as they have for Carson. Sporadic support, but nothing like how I’ve seen them defend Carson.

There are far too many other issues to take with Doc, than this silly West Point flap.
Trump has been fielding these same - or worse - attacks, since day one after he announced.
There’s a double standard, here.
We’ll see how Carson defends HIMSELF against the MSM, vs what he depends on those in the media to do for him. That will be the key to his leadership skills, imo.

You obviously don’t follow the polls either which show Trump beating Hillary by about 5-6 points. :-)
