NOAA issues climate change "studies" based on fraudulent data. NOAA "studies" are paid for with taxpayer dollars yet they refuse to provide any of the backup or support behind the so called "studies". Congress expressed "serious concerns” about the role that NOAA officials, including the agency's political appointees, may have had “in the decision to adjust the temperature data and widely publicize conclusions based on those adjustments."

When Congress asks to see the backup and supporting documents NOAA throws a hissy fit.

They called it "intimidation" and said it "imposes a chilling effect" on NOAA employees.

As Rush stated the other day, “Why are liberals upset when it turns out that the earth isn’t getting warmer?” Of course we all know the answer.

The chilling effect and intimidation happened this week when NewYork announced it is investigating ConocoPhillips for not rubber stamping the government’’s fraudulent climate change data. All gas and oil pipelines to NY should be cut off this winter so these extortionists would not need to worry about warming.

Good-chill the NOAA employees and cut off all their money until they cough up all the documents asked for-then ask for more documents...

All Federal funding has to be appropriated by Congress. They seem to think they are entitled to it. This is the problem with running the government through continuing resolutions and stimulus bills and quantitative easing. Congress loses the power over the purse strings.

There will be no accountability for anything with the current justice department and their Liar in Chief, Obama. And... if we have another Dem administration then we will have totally lost our national sovereignty.

Fiscal year 2015 discretionary budget request for NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, totals $5.5 billion. This is $174 million over the 2014 enacted budget, an increase of 3.2 percent.

If the conclusions reached by federally funded research are fiction, then I am 100% in favor of said research being thwarted.

What are they afraid of, anyway? If they cannot defend their research methodology and/or their conclusions, then they are unworthy of the title “scientist”.

You mean like the chilling effect when Global Warming skeptics are labeled knuckle dragging, anti-science “deniers” and demonized?

Thank you for referencing that article detective. As usual, please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

”. . . that could thwart federally funded research."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Low-information meteorologists unsurprisingly do not understand the following. The states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of PC global warming issues. So the corrupt House should never have appropriated funds for such a purpose, and the likewise corrupt Senate should never have helped the House to pass related appropriations bills.

The ill-conceived 17th Amendment needs to disappear, and corrupt senators who help the House to pass unconstitutional appropriations bills along with it.

A true scientist would be happy to share their research. In fact, having met a few, it’s actually hard to shut them up about it.

A cultist would refuse to share how they got their information, or else they would couch it in meaningless terms and accuse the questioner of lacking faith.

Clearly, global warming is a cult.

In the 70s and 80s I participated in a scientific endeavor that made a significant alteration in a small corner of engineering and science. The first time I met the 'godfather' of this activity, I left his office with such a large pile of papers and data that I couldn't carry it all.

There were numerous skeptics of this activity (usually entrenched professors who's comfortable chairs and committees were threatened by something different from what they were teaching). They, too, would receive the same pile of information, if they were willing to carry it back. This flood of data prevailed, and now the textbooks all carry the newest information.

The same should be true for NOAA. If they truly believe their theories, they should happily flood the world with their data and information. It's obvious to me they don't.
