To all posters who are Christians: might I suggest that all this weekend we earnestly pray for truth to prevail in this matter? God hates the lie and dispises those who make a lie. Let’s pray that every tongue that accuses this godly man will be proven wrong (Isaiah 54:17).
The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much indeed! Let’s also forgive as we stand praying so our prayers won’t be hindered. Hard as it be, let’s forgive politico and allow God to get revenge.
Blessings to you all; and Brother Carson, continue to be strong and courageous.
Exactly, Hillary has been caught in a lie. To offset her lie Democrats will begin inventing Republican lies. It will not stop with Carson!
Yes, no one is perfect, that is true.
Carson is not my candidate, but I do not support lies or liars, and it seems like this story is not legit.
If you (not you, xzins, just generally speaking) want to take someone out politically, then use truth.
I don’t like the use of tricky wording or misleading wording used to imply that someone did or said something that they did not.
Guess what? The media (specifically Politico) lies again. Naturally, a bunch of dupes on FR eagerly fall for it.
I think that’s what’s going on here.
I could say I was offered a football scholarship for XYZ school, and it would be true, but it never made it to the put it on paper stage. And that happens ALL the time.
Listen to the first hour of Rush today. He had some good callers that went to military academies. One from West Point made a great point (ha) that at that time, 68-72 era, the military academies were also deep in affirmative action and were actively looking for young, intelligent black men.
Read the transcript on the free side of the website.
George Soros-funded “MediaMatters?” You’re taking THEIR word on this?
If Trump had been Politico's target on this, there'd be wailing and gnashing of teeth here on FR like none ever seen before.
I was in the Army by 1970. The military academies were searching hard for candidates. The war era had reduced their numbers as so many went the way of the culture and became anti-military or non-interested in the military because of the war.
Well, the Army was ahead of the social curve in those days. I was a black Army Brat in the 50s and 60s, and know this personally.
As far as the rest of the establishment, they weren't quite there yet, with the affirmative action policies we've all come to know and love. /s
I’m an odd conservative. I came from an area where some consideration, some breaking of old ways was necessary. I don’t regret the early years of AA. But like everything, it was pushed beyond rational and into the realm of craziness.
Unions did it, too. The chamber of commerce is doing it now.
How many union members does it take to unscrew a light bulb? Remember those days?
But when the unions were the response to the company stores, then they initially made sense.
The EEO affirmative action started at that time. By 1970-72 West Point wanted up to 10% of the new entrants to be black.
Based upon Politico’s known bad rep, and based upon Limbaugh’s analysis of this, which I thought was a sound analysis, I am going to wait to judge, and I want to hear from Carson.
So he is apparently coming on Hannity’s radio show shortly, next hour I think, so I am going to listen to that.
I totally agree... there’s far too much of that flying around now.
I will indeed pray that — however this unfolds — the truth wins out.
I didn’t, and I don’t even like Carson.
You gotta problem with those!!??..../S
He’s not one of ours if you define ours as conservative. If you define it as moderates that approve of gun grabbing and amnesty, then it would apply. Because conservatives do not do stupid crap like he does on those two very very important issues.
Okay, now THAT is complete BS.
