Ben Carson Gets Angry and Combative in Interview With CNN’s New Day (Video)

Yes, you read the headline correctly: mild-mannered presidential candidate Ben Carson got very combative and angry during an interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota.

The confrontation began when Camerota played a clip of Carson joking that "many" Americans were stupid, and asked who he thought were stupid. Carson responded that those who wanted to keep Americans dependent on federal programs were the "stupid" ones as far as he was concerned.

I’ve listened very close. She is lying. Not him.

Wow!!

This is the best smack down of the media driven agenda I have ever seen or heard! Makes me think again about Carson.

The headline is a bit misleading too. He didn’t “get angry” with her, but he took her to the woodshed I can assure you. Better than even Trump, even Cruz. Because while he never lost his cool, he never shouted once, he was very direct and his withering attack clearly took its toll on Camerata. You can see her affect change throughout the interview. She didn’t like being confronted with the truth about her employers. Or herself. At all.

The SDA’s do not have the same beliefs as the JW’s on that subject.

>>Bull. It wasn’t just Carson musing. It is Carson stating factual error. It’s a silly statement and everyone knows it.<<

Bull yourself. Are you seriously asking voters to now spend time investigating whether the Egyptian people could possibly have used pyramids to store grain thousands of years ago so that they can then pass judgement on whether Dr. Carson is qualified to be the President of the United States?

Why don’t you instead spend some time listening to his positions on Obamacare, changing our culture of dependency, restoring the Constitution to its rightful place, etc., instead of letting the MSM drag you down these useless side streets?

Trying instead to convince voters that Dr. Carson is a dunce is going to be a losing proposition for all engaged in the effort.

>>Anger toward the press always appeals to the base. Especially to supporters. But there is generally sympathy from others.<<

That could explain why Trump does so badly with female voters...

On the other hand, Dr. Carson was quite measured in his takedown of this reporter. And it was quite a takedown, especially when he told her she hadn’t heard a word he said, for she had indeed totally ignored him as he explained quite calmly to her how the MSM had abdicated the responsibility granted it by the Constitution. (as clearly illustrated by the banner CNN ran that said something like Carson calls Americans stupid during the piece.)

They both believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael, they just have different views on Michael. They are both wrong. Here’s what I know:

THE BIBLE SAYS:
“For to which of the angels did He ever say, ‘Thou art My Son, today I have begotten thee?’” Hebrews 1:5.
“But of the Son He says, ‘Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever...’” Hebrews 1:8a.
“But to which of the angels has He ever said, ‘Sit at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet?’ Are they [the angels] not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:13-14

The only reason Ben Carson has been allowed to sit in 2nd place all this time is because he has not come under scrutiny. Now he is and he is going to fade to black just like Walker.

“And what deception is that? “

That he applied and was extended a scholarship and admission to West Point.

It’s alpha male time. Not saying what he did was bad, just that it would play well to the base and possibly change the narrative from grain storage yo him standing up to the press.

“Trying instead to convince voters that Dr. Carson is a dunce is going to be a losing proposition for all engaged in the effort.”

It’s not that he is a dunce; it is that he harbors strange ideas, and may be a liar about his past. Two disturbing propositions that you choose to ignore at your own peril.

Good find about Carson, Georgia Girl. And bears repeating, which I am doing here by pinging this.

I personally am not thrilled with SDA doctrine, but one has to be careful with the cult label.

Just as context, let me say that I am not a Carson supporter for president, and I am a non-denominational Christian with orthodox views of the Trinity and normal Protestant views on Salvation. I strongly reject annihilationism (this is probably my biggest issue with SDA theology; though I am certainly not comfortable many of their tenets).

All that said, I would be careful on the Archangel point you made. As far as I have been able to understand of SDA doctrine, they consistently espouse the deity of Christ. I think it would be perhaps more correct to say that they believe Michael is Jesus, rather than that Jesus is Michael. I am admittedly no expert on SDA dogma, but I believe they are interpreting Michael in Revelation as a Theophany of sorts. I strongly disagree with that position, but to say that Michael is an theophany of Jesus is a far cry from saying that our Messiah was an incarnate angel. It’s a significant distinction.

The word cult gets thrown around a lot. I definitely agree that Mormonism, Scientology, and Jehovah’s Witnesses are clear-cut cults, and I would not consider them Christian, in that I personally draw the line between hetero-orthodox and blasphemy at the deity of Christ. SDAs seem to be me to have a “cultish” emphasis on their “prophets”, but maintain both Christ’s diety and humanity, which I think is something pretty important. I am trying to be careful not to sin against the body as regards Carson, and I think it is important not to straw-man the archangel thing. Take that with a grain of salt as one man’s opinion, and I would be happy to be corrected in my mistake if there is evidence that they are being deceptive in their language regarding the divinity of Jesus like the Mormon’s do.

Again, I am no supporter of SDAism, but I am presently inclined to believe they are probably brothers and sisters in Christ who have some significant error in their theology. I think that if a person believes in the divinity and unity of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and the need for salvation through Christ’s finished work, it is hard to call them not a Christian. I think annihilationism is a wicked doctrine, and have issue with many other secondary aspects of SDA, and strongly pray that any SDA reading this would prayerfully reconsider many of their denomination’s errors that have occurred as a result of weighing too highly the opinions and supposed revelations of modern men against the clear Word of Scripture.

Lastly, please pardon any spelling or grammar errors above. I tried to do this on my phone.

And what deception is that? (I’m not a Carson supporter, but am genuinely interested in this deception you speak of. Thank you.)

I'm a Cruz supporter. I can tell you that you will never convince conservativejoy of anything, unless it is already bouncing around in her head.

From the foregoing it will be seen that our concept of Michael, as just another title for the Lord Jesus Christ, is vastly different from the views of others who teach that Michael is merely a created, angelic being and not the Eternal Word of God. In direct contrast to such a depreciating Christology, Seventh-day Adventists hold that Jesus is “very God of very God, of the same substance as the Father” - coequal, coexistent, and coeternal with God the Father. We believe that there never was a time when Christ was not. He is God forevermore, His life being “original, unborrowed, underived.”

That doesn’t sound anything like JW.
