LEE'S SUMMIT, MO (KCTV) -
Two teenagers have been arrested in the brutal stabbing death of a 43-year-old Lee’s Summit woman.
This comes after police released surveillance video on Tuesday of the 13- and 14-year-old suspects. Formal charges are pending with Jackson County Family Court.
The victim has been identified as Tanya L. Chamberlain. Police said they are not releasing whether or how the suspects knew Chamberlain.
The discovery of her body came after Lee's Summit police attempted to stop a vehicle about 1:15 a.m. Sunday for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The driver of the vehicle pulled into a parking lot of an apartment complex in the 500 block of Southeast Second Street.
Two men then fled on foot from the vehicle. The officer engaged in a short foot pursuit before losing sight of both suspects.
As the officer returned to the suspect vehicle, he discovered Chamberlain's body in the passenger seat. After working the case overnight, investigators determined Chamberlain had been murdered.

Lee’s Summit was named after Robert E. Lee, so obviously this caused the brutal murder and the city needs to change its name. /S
I would have bet the rent before finishing the first sentence that they were teenage African-American thugs.
It isn’t racism. It has simply become a fact of life (or death) in these types of stories. Throw away the key!

Stories I posted earlier this year. With the bottom one, I was within about 15 miles, going to college, from where they kidnapped that 15-year-old girl. I remember it from when it happened. It was 25 and 26 years before they got rid of those animals.

Even Kansas now allows people to concealed-carry without CCW.

However, it is a disservice to all young men and women to say that they are 'THUGS' or anything else, they are children, who need guidance and support to right their wrong. Prayers for her family and prayers for the families of the attackers as well. Be a village and love your neighbor, no matter what..."
Unbelievable. I am at a loss for words. Look at that post. I believe in the concept of forgiveness. But I also believe that even if forgiven, people must pay for what they have done.

But even here on FR there are posters who think collected stories of black violence, particularly mob violence, are exaggerated, if not completely made up.
The stat to add to the NCVS poster is that: ___________ blacks were victims of black violence.

I used to think the same thing. Then about twenty-five years ago at the local library I started reading a publication called Conservative Chronicles. This was before the internet and before they started broadcasting conservative talk radio in my area. At that time for the most part everybody got most of their information, such as it was, from the mainstream media.
That publication printed the stories the mainstream media didn't. That mag did a lot to push me over to the conservative side.
Like I say about the mainstream media, it's not the lies they tell, it's the truth they hide.

Shocking that two this young could get to a woman like that. They must have pulled the knife on her early on (apparently it started in the parking lot of a Hy-Vee grocery store - mid-western chain).
I agree. Here’s two Black lives that don’t “matter” to a hill of beans.
Yes, they should definitely eliminate them. Because of their age, notice it’s a “family” court.
