Ben Carson has surged into the lead of the Republican presidential race, getting support from 29 percent of GOP primary voters, according to a brand-new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
That's the highest percentage any GOP candidate has obtained so far in the survey.
Carson's 29 percent is followed by Donald Trump at 23 percent, Marco Rubio at 11 percent, Ted Cruz at 10 percent and Jeb Bush at 8 percent. These findings are similar to a New York Times/CBS poll released last week, which also showed Carson in first place in the national GOP contest.

Not voting holding my nose ever again. If the ticket is not Trump, I’ll check out third party candidates.
I will vote so I can vote against my “conservative” congressman and senator who lied through their teeth to get elected, but I can just vote none of the above.
Cruz is more conservative than Reagan was.

Carson is the top Republican fundraiser, with $31.3 million total raised so far, with $23.5 million of that coming from contributions of $200 or less.
Yep, that’s what he says. He’s a lot more polarizing that Reagan was too. And much better educated. And a lot more dogmatic.
My brother and I are both Carson supporters, and so is one of our friends. My sister and sister-in-law are both pro-abortion (I’m working on them), so they won’t vote for him unless he becomes the GOP nominee; my brother-in-law the commie will be voting for whatever criminal the liberals come up with.
Obviously northerners, mid-westerners and westerners do because we got saddled with Jimmy Carter, Billy Clinton and Barry Obama.
Please provide a list of what you like about Carson. I’m truly curious what people like about him. I have zero intention of arguing with you over it, so this is not some kind of gotcha. If you want to use freepmail, then that is fine with me.
I doubt highly Carson’s poll numbers, as others have said, I have yet to meet in person 1 person who claims to be a Carson supporter. I have a hard time, given this, to believe he’s polling anywhere near 20% let alone above it. I come across all walks political folks on both sides of the isle.... if he’s truly polling that high, I would expect I would at least run into 1 of his supporters.. and in fact dozens by now if his support is that high.

Okay. He's highly intelligent, unflappable, a superb doctor (and therefore really understands the damage Obamacare does), not a politician, pro-life, articulate, able to work well with others, gentle (which shouldn't be mistaken for weakness), learns fast, and has great self-control.

I have not read every thread but here is the key.

400 people nationwide. Give me a break. The Florida poll showing Trump way ahead had well over 2000 voters in one state. This is purely an agenda driven poll.
In addition, he’s pro-gun, pro-Israel, and calls Islamic terrorists Islamic terrorists. I loved his comment that what people held hostage by a man with a gun should do is charge him. Lot of realism and common sense there in my opinion.

I was truly wondering.
I haven’t seen him waver on the main issues. He has remained solid on the Wall,Immigration, the 2nd amendment, and Trade Deals. Those are the only things that matter because they are the keys to our sovereignty as a nation. Donald is definitely NOT a supporter of One World Order.
And that, my FRiends, is what it boils down to. Crossover appeal. Trump will take 10% of the black vote, in a walk. He will take 40% of the “Hispanic” vote, while yawning. 40% of the Asian vote. White vote? All except the guilters and the pontificating class.
