All I know is I’m placing my bet on the Giants to win it next year, since it’s an even-numbered year.

We’re in the country, too, and it sounds like bombs are going off. I can hear my distant neighbors screaming and car horns blaring. It’s truly a beautiful thing!

Yes. LOL. It is fun to hear everyone so happy. I have an Uncle who is going out of his mind right now. He is the biggest Royals fan in the world. Me, I am a fair weather fan. I like them now that they are winning. My uncle, he was loyal all through the down years. It is people like him who I am most happy for.

Unbelievable that Mets Mgr. Collins left Harvey in after that walk. Unheard of, and fatally stupid. Harvey was already far too revved up to calm down, but that should have ended his night. Instead he left him in and put Familia in yet another no-win situation.

Correct. The lead off walk in the ninth is where they lost the game.

I agree that Collins should have taken out Harvey after he issued that walk. It didn’t cost the Mets the series, though. Even if the Mets had won tonight, they still had an uphill battle to win the series.

When you let your players make your decisions for you, you lose all credibility as a manager.

If you have a decent closer, there is no excuse for not using him to start the ninth.

That's when I figured we'd win. Royals’ve rarely failed to score with one on and nobody out.

You bet. Way back when we lived in KC went to every game - was during George Brett’s era. Good people in KC. Ewing Kaufman must be smiling upon everyone there.

That is a shame. Congrats to them but really nothing to get excited about.

This moment is the first attention I’ve paid to baseball since the player’s strike.
