I agree that Collins should have taken out Harvey after he issued that walk. It didn’t cost the Mets the series, though. Even if the Mets had won tonight, they still had an uphill battle to win the series.
When you let your players make your decisions for you, you lose all credibility as a manager.
If you have a decent closer, there is no excuse for not using him to start the ninth.
He should have pulled Harvey after 8 innings pitched, as he intended.
