Six rather relatively well known dystopian themed movies. Excerpts taken from IMDB.
If you like dystopian themed movies you've probably seen all 6. My favorite is Rollerball.
Which one do you think the world is striving for?
---
THX1138 -- Set in the 25th century, the story centers around a man and a woman who rebel against their rigidly controlled society. Director George Lucas.
Logan's Run -- An idyllic sci-fi future has one major drawback: life must end at 30. Director Michael Anderson
Roller Ball (1975) -- In a corporate-controlled future, an ultra-violent sport known as Rollerball represents the world, and one of its powerful athletes is out to defy those who want him out of the game. Director Norman Jewison.
Soylent Green (1973) -- With the world ravaged by the greenhouse effect and overpopulation, an NYPD detective investigates the murder of a CEO with ties to the world's main food supply. Director Richard Fleischer
1984 (1984) -- George Orwell's novel of a totalitarian future society in which a man whose daily work is rewriting history tries to rebel by falling in love. Director Michael Radford
Fahrenheit 451 (1966) -- In an oppressive future, a fireman whose duty is to destroy all books begins to question his task. Director François Truffaut
Farrah or Jenny?
Possibly Death Race 2000.
Or the Hunger Games.
Logan’s Run. But nobody’s going to look like Jenny Agutter or Farrah Fawcett.
Red Dwarf Ping!
LISTER: Cat?
CAT: Mmm?
LISTER: Ya ever see the Flintstones?
CAT: Sure!
LISTER: D’ya think Wilma’s sexy?
CAT: Wilma Flintstone?
LISTER: Maybe we’ve been alone in deep space too long, but every time I see that sharmi(?) body, it drives me crazy. Is it me?
CAT: Well, I think in all probability, Wilma Flintstone is the most desirable woman that ever lived.
LISTER: That’s good. I thought I was goin’ strange.
CAT: She’s incredible!
LISTER: What d’ya think of Betty?
CAT: Betty Rubble? (Pause) Well, I would go with Betty... but I’d be thinking of Wilma.
LISTER: This is crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?
CAT: You’re right. We’re nuts. This is an insane conversation.
LISTER: She’ll never leave Fred, and we know it.
CAT shakes his head in resignation.
The Running Man.
We don’t need to watch dystopian movies. We’re living in one.
Well done dystopian movie, and quite prescient: Brazil.
Who can forget the original PLANET OF THE APES.
Waterworld?
Death Race 2000 - Possibly Sylvester Stallone’s finest role as Joe Paturbo. He once was a gifted comic.
What about “A Boy and His Dog”, with Don Johnson?
“Sleeper” was pretty good, too.
The Left, in accordance with Blair’s Law, is going for all of them at once.

I saw four of them, the bolded ones, of course.
They show a bleak, miserable future, that's for sure.
What people have been taught is that they don't need God. Jesus just isn't part of their life. GOD (all three Persons) is the source of all love, joy and peace, both now and in eternity.
The seven deadly sins mark PRIDE as the FIRST of them. No surprise.
Jenny. Hands down no two ways about it how could you even put that bleached bimbo’s name in the same sentence as Jenny Agutter.
I knew a girl who was beautiful in exactly the same way as Betty Rubble. I’m not kidding. She was very highly educated too. She even looked at me once.
She could have passed for Judy Jetson if she had worn the right clothes. But since it was the ‘80s, she struck me as more Betty.
Americathon or Idiocracy.
However, Idiocracy has become a documentary.
I've seen some people who resemble our "root" species. Very weird. With those faces, it's not a stretch.
You’re right. I should have said “Jessica or Holly?”
That was my thought.
Blowing up Richard Dawson at the end?
I so wanted them to make a sequel with Bob Barker.
