There are plenty of blacks, Latinos, Latinas, women, people from swing states, or whatever you want to name who are well qualified to become President and will provide political advantage as well. IF Trump gets the nomination, he's going to "balance" the ticket; because the truth is: the Vice Presidency is a completely worthless job unless the President dies, and everyone knows that except for Low Information Voters.

I say he will pick a vice president the same way he hires vice president’s for his company.
I also think the roll of the vice president would change in a Trump presidency.
He is a business man. He will utilize all talent available to it’s fullest potential.
Only if the Senate President prefers to do nothing constructive and fails to be pro-active. Cruz will not be sitting around waitin for Trump to give him something to do.
