Couple thoughts:
I may be crucified for saying this, but as horrible as the CNBC hit squad was, I think this debate was the candidates’ finest hour as a group. I was proud of most of them. From the get-go they realized that it was going to be a massacre, so they pulled together to present a united front, were complimentary to each other, lambasted the questioners, and weren’t afraid to speak up. For example, I’m not a Rubio fan, but I loved it when he said that Hillary is a liar. I think that in the past, a euphemism for “liar” would’ve been used.
Yesterday Priebus (on Hannity, I think) said that RNC was meeting with all candidates’ organizations to change the schedule for future debates. He’s an idiot. Why would he have scheduled CNN, CNBC, etc., for the first debates, anyhow? I can understand how he might’ve been blindsided by Megyn and Bret on Fox, but the others...? Enough already with consorting with the enemy; find questioners who will draw out valuable information from the candidates.
Per Levin, Priebus and Paul Ryan are best of friends going back to childhood. I guess this isn’t pertinent relative to the debates, but it’s interesting as to Priebus’ possible future positions, etc.
Yes. You nailed it!
It is obvious and beyond doubt that the democrat debate was a staged HRC charade and great care was taken to protect her and the other democrats.
And it is just as obvious that the repub candidates are being held to a much different standard where attacking their individual credibility and merit is the dominant theme.
WHY? WHY? WHY?
Is it shear incompetence or by design? Can they possibly be so clueless, so stupid? If by design, then what exactly are they (GOPe) trying to accomplish?
