Nothing against Trump but I fail to see how anyone could have thought anyone but Cruz or maybe Rubio won that debate. Cruz for completely eviscerating CNBC (and the media in general) and Rubio for completely eviscerating Jeb!
That one moment was good for Cruz. Overall, Trump one in the hearts of Republicans.
Go Trump!
It’s my theory that the people voting for Trump may not have watched the debate. Trump was not outstanding in a way that would have increased his support.
I think his base, which is considerable, simply voted for him because he’s their candidate.
Anyone who actually watched the debate would have voted for Cruz.
I am for Trump and I voted for Cruz on the Drudge survey. Rubio 2nd.
Nothing against Trump but I fail to see how anyone could have thought anyone but Cruz or maybe Rubio won that debate.

There is one huge reason why people would pick Trump. He is not a slave to his donors. Cruz and Rubio while very interesting are still politicians. It would be nice to see who are his donors in the Cruz/Rubio grid. Knowing that I would be more open to those two, but you notice they are not very eager to do that.
Rubio and Cruz did entertain break out moments on the debate stage. It sort of made them look new again. All the lights have been poised on Trump and Carson, from practically the beginning, and now here we are in the fall, and people are settling in to take a longer view of the field. It’s just what people do.
So, yes, Rubio and Cruz and Christy got the greatest allotment of time in the Colorado debate and made good use of it.
Trump and Carson got around seven minutes, while the 1 percenters got 10 minutes, and 9 minutes. The frontrunners were designated to be disadvantaged by the format. They were ignored unless they wanted to make a scene, and they chose not to. They are heads above the rest of the field, so they didn’t have to. Maybe soon they will, if the voter preference margins close in on them.
I don’t know about Carson, but Trump supporters believe Trump is going to be carpet bombed by the political/media/financial complex, and believe it is already starting. All of media, print and electronic, is aligned against him and the pincer movement will only increase, trying to kill his candidacy. Can Trump withstand all the stilted polls, the marginalization by 30 Rock, bad press, rumors and innuendo?
If Trump is squeezed out, who among our illustrious crowd of candidates can withstand it? There will be one who will, as there always is. Who will it be?
It will be ONLY the establishment candidate who walks out of the ashes.
Trump or Bust.
When you are number one you don’t really have to win you just have to not screw up. Trump did not screw up. But that’s OK Ted had an exceptional adventure and he looked pretty happy on Hannity last night. His numbers are going up.
The poll is partly a popularity contest, so in that respect, the poll shows Trump still well in the lead.
But Cruz was the winner with Rubio a close second.
