Each debate costs about $2 million to produce

How much did this one cost?

Now that the slew of candidates have formed into a solid line opposed to the enemedia (except yeb!, who remains on the side of the enemedia), they could roll their own debate. How about going cross-country on Acela, stopping in the various cities along the way, for a series of real debates.

Errrr...Acela runs from Boston to Washington. There is no overhead wire in the rest of the country.

You must mean Amtrak. And, if the candidates counted on Amtrak to carry them across the country, they'd risk running up to 24 hours behind schedule. And being insulted when they asked why.

Which is to be expected, since Amtrak is run by the government.

Better off to rent a convoy of stagecoaches...

Fascinating thought you have there. Actually, it’s brilliant and would capture the imagination of the public - kind of an unplugged/acoustic debate.
