Jeb Bush's reviews from Wednesday night's debate were universally poor. But the power players -- at least on the record -- say it's not time to turn out the lights yet, insisting that debates aren't Bush's strong suit anyway, and pointing to other factors such as the CNBC moderators and the high hopes and expectations coming in.
The Republican debate had the potential to re-energize Jeb Bush's floundering presidential campaign, injecting it with optimism after deep spending cuts and continuing low poll numbers.
Instead, Bush's fundraisers and backers were left trying to explain why the man they had poured so many dollars into still proved to be such a weak candidate, delivering what was widely seen as a meek and ineffective performance in Boulder, Colorado.

It’s clear Jeb doesn’t have his heart in this race. His backers are more in for themselves and the power they want back and they thought Jeb was their best option.
Isn’t his pedigree and willingness to continue selling out the country to cronies and the Chamber of Commerce enough?
Jeb thought he was going to be coronated. Earning the job wasn’t in his plans.

It really makes me wonder how people that stupid managed to get rich...”
They are not stupid. They work harder to get system changes in place that will benefit them and then they work the system. Remember the comment someone made about Democrats crawling over broken glass to get what they wanted in place? Republicans think the world is made up of gentlemen and they don’t know how to street fight. The “reaching across the aisle” syndrome is only one way and they allow themselves to get jerked across the aisle to the other side. I think a lot of Trump’s success is because he’s a street fighter.
Ehhh- yep!
I believe Jeb can give the money to the party or favorite charity. Wonder who will break his arm first.
ROTFL! I think you should be Jeb’s new fashion coordinator.
I was actually watching an episode of Fawlty Towers last night. Manuel and Jeb have a lot in common, especially when it comes to unintentionally humorous behavior.
But I guess there is one big difference. Manuel can be endearing. Jeb is just pathetic.
What is exactly the environment you are working in?
[delivering what was widely seen as a meek and ineffective performance]
Jeb is meek and ineffective. And an amnesty traitor as well.
So, it’s real complicated, huh, GOPe? ...........
LOL
Dang, and he was going to do some really cool things.
lol
They all get that stupid look on their faces when they’re trying to sell some more lies.
Political prostitutes. Away with the lot of them.
Can’t believe people were stupid enough to elect that clown’s kid clown.
