The fast-food breakfast wars are upon us.
With McDonald's starting all-day breakfast, Burger King responding in kind, Wendy's flailing in the breakfast arena, and Taco Bell revamping its morning menu, the competition is more intense than ever.
But in the midst of the battle, some weaknesses are rising.
We tested three main breakfast items from the major fast-food chains.
We tried breakfast from McDonald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Wendy's â here's who does it best

They forgot Jack in the Box. Their Supreme Croissant is the bomb! The only item that could supplant it would be the Scrambled Egg Pocket, but alas, that is no more...
And then spent an hour and a half on the toilet.
I wouldn’t eat any of them. You can buy a box of frozen Jimmy Dean ones and nuke them for 1 minute for less than half the cost, and 4 times the quality.
JITB is not a national chain.

How many freepers are going to run to Taco Bell on November 5th for that free taco breakfast burrito something?
I don’t know about breakfast but we broke our no fast food rules last night and got 2 crispy chicken sandwiches, 2 chili’s and 2 chocolate frosties at Wendy’s for dinner and enjoyed a tray in front of the debate. Good times. :-)
I have been enjoying home-made egg mcmuffins using a microwave egg cooker I got on amazon. Cook time 1 minute, add cheese and ham if desired. Cost to make a tiny fraction of egg mcmuffin price and faster than pulling in to buy one
For breakfast burritos you cannot beat Chick-Fil-A. Their sausage burrito or chicken burrito are wrapped tight and full of properly cooked, delicious ingredients. My favorite breakfast food!
I have tried all three and will definitely stick with Waffle House. I am cheap and would go with the cheapest alternative but I do need the offering to be actual food.
The first one to offer a gluten-free breakfast sandwich will get my undying gratitude
I can make my own ‘mcmuffin’ at home as well. I use a stoneware microwave egg cooker from Pampered Chef.
Now, I can make it just the way I want to...except I have never been able to make mine TASTE like a McD’s Sausage Egg McMuffin. The McD version TASTES better than my home-made version. I can’t figure out why...and I have a degree in Culinary Arts.
I’ve always thought Burger King’s Ham Croissant was the best of the bunch, but I’ve never tried Wendy’s Artisan Egg Sandwich. Anyone here tried it?
I LOVE Jack-in-the-box tacos!
When I was in Texas we’d get the hard shell ones for 36 cents each after a night out...
every time I see one now I have to stop for a taco
Yep... that leaves out the fast food mentioned in the article...
For price and a light quick breakfast, hard to beat the Dunkin’ Dougnut’s Bacon and Egg Wrap for $1.25.
+1
I like their chili for a quick meal.
