The Black Lives Matter idiocy is only going to make it worse in inner city schools. The increased chaos it has caused is driving out decent people who tried to make a go of it in the cities.

FWIW, a better picture would also report on how inner city charter and private schools are doing.

My daughter teaches in an inner-city charter school. The situation is somewhat better in that at least those kids have a parent who cares enough about education to opt them out of the public schools and send them there.

Still a lot of the sociological problems associated with that environment. Plus not every charter is well-run or managed with integrity. And the teachers unions have basically declared war and are trying to shut them down (they elected Wolf here in PA to do just that)
