Donald Trump Gets Serious

Posted on 10/29/2015 3:51:36 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

In what looked like a coordinated effort on the part of Team Trump to swamp a dispiriting news cycle focused on the candidate’s declining poll numbers on Monday night, both CNN and the Boston Globe published extensive dispatches detailing the increasing sophistication of Trump’s early state ground game.

Of the GOP operatives Globe reporter Matt Viser spoke with in early states like Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, few were impressed with any of the Republican presidential candidates’ financial or organizational commitments. That is, except for Trump. The Globe revealed that the celebrity candidate has spent $1 million in the early states — far more than any of his rivals — and recently opened two new campaign offices in New Hampshire. Though Viser was not allowed to tour those offices or speak with aides, his report revealed a surprising devotion to creating a formidable operation.

Trump has hired Chuck Laudner, the Iowa-based political operative who engineered Rick Santorum’s come-from-behind 2012 victory in Iowa, and now has captains in place in all of Iowa’s 1,800 precincts. What’s more, they have been organizing supporters and focusing on educating them on the caucus process – an arcane and fast-paced exhibition that can be intimidating to the uninitiated.

*snip*

Qualifiers and caveats abound, but Trump’s team is no longer running a purely earned-media driven campaign. While his committed floor of support ranges from just 10 to 15 percent of the GOP electorate, his operatives are building an apparatus that promises to deliver each and every one of them to the polls in February. Unless Trump quits the race and releases them, it’s likely that the real estate mogul will be able to count on a significant number of delegates showing up in Cleveland next summer ready to fight for their candidate.

Trump was serious before he even announced. Launder was locked up back in February.

Why is Donald called a “celebrity” candidate? He’s a business man.

Wow the press are liars. Like saying the debate was never going to be more than too hours. Yeah, two hours of debate stuffed full of an hour of commercials.

“Why is Donald called a “celebrity” candidate? He’s a business man.”

The TV Show the Apprentice

By focusing on that they are able to ignore his other accomplishments.

Debates should be no more than 60 minutes, including commercials.

This whole damn Primary debate and campaign process must be reformed.

We are looking at years of this nonsense.

The Primaries, both Democrat and Republican should begin 6 months before a general election, not a day before.

Cut the nonsense, cut the BS, cut the entire process down to 6 months and that's all.

We are witnessing the decline of the entire country and process.

“Why is Donald called a “celebrity” candidate? He’s a business man”

NPR this morning referred to Trump as something like “apprentice celebrity Donald Trump”.

That’s seems to be all the ignorant know about Trump. Even I was surprised when Trump talked about buying tens of millions worth of John Deere equipment at the Sioux City rally Tuesday. He’s like 95% business man and maybe 5% celebrity.

Trump is not shy, and he doesn’t hold back on what he thinks or how he’s going to say it...

Remember when he signed the ‘pledge’ he said then just because he’s signing doesn’t mean he won’t go third party, if the people are decent, he’ll stay...

Then the press started really hitting below the belt, the first debate with the blond bar fly thinking she was some important? From there it went to the rest of the lying media and Trump has hit them hard, calling them out to their faces at all his rallies...this is their way of getting back at him...

Not going to matter, people love Trump, they like his message, he is like an old friend when he talks to people, how many candidates would you see going into the crowd and talking to a ‘wounded warrior’? NONE...and he did more than that, he told the veteran he would look into his problem and he has, if the VA doesn’t do anything for this veteran, Trump will probably cover everything himself, he’s that type of guy...

I have never in all my voting years seen a candidate as devoted to America as Trump, this is the real deal, his base is HUGE and we don’t put up with crap, if America doesn’t stand behind this man to make America great again, then they need to crawl off in a hole not to be heard of again....

Most of the people I know who support Trump won't even vote in a Primary Election, much less know what a Primary Election is!

If the people you know don't know what a Primary is...perhaps you need to expand your circle of friends.

NPR this morning referred to Trump as something like “apprentice celebrity Donald Trump”.

It doesn't work. The man has been a tabloid headliner for business for 30+ years. Calling him "apprentice celebrity" is like calling George Burns a country singer.

‘’Most of the people I know who support Trump won’t even vote in a Primary Election, much less know what a Primary Election is!’’

Then get them registered & get them to the primary. TAKE them, yourself, if you need to. Do you care what happens to your country- your kids’ & grandkids’ future? Do it. It is way late. Please don’t quit without a fight. (No matter how cynical you are.) just sayin’...

Trump has always been serious. He’s had a game plan since day one and he’s moving it along in well thought out stages just like I’m sure he does his multi million dollar business deals.

The GOP nomination is Trump’s to lose.
