It’s called collectivism, the family does what it can, the community judges them. The right of the individual is lost. The child has a home. In many 3rd world countries, they are lucky to have a box.

4 yrs ago I had to restart my business, due to an irs shut down, which was latter determined illegal. Lost everything, lived in a tent with 5 kids, my wife and 2 dogs. Would not take any gov help. Had to deal with extended family that screamed child abuse, and they would call the state to get the children to safety.

In the land of the free (sarc). I as a man, who had my business shut down, and means of production destroyed. Have to apologize and fear the state stealing my children as I restart my business, and act like a man. While I teach my kids that life can suck, but you trust in GOD and never quit.

The poster asked if making a child live in this house was child abuse.... WTF

You and I would have a lot t talk about. A little different circumstances but very similar story. I am so thankful my children have had to see struggles and how to deal with them. My two oldest boys changed for the better.
I believe in Romans 8:28.

Well that is probably a WTF, but also a WTF is thinking that this tiny house is hunky dory cos it ain’t for those who work hard and were able to move into a house that isn’t tiny.

Or rather, this tiny house is hunky dory but not something some of us consider a dream home. How’s that?

These parents aren't poor or unemployed. They can afford to give their child some privacy, but they choose not to.

I am a little disturbed at that discussion also. Actually the libs are probably saying the same things and that only conservatives would live like this.

I grew up on the poor farm. outhouse, had to get drinking water from the well at the livestock tank. Burned corn cobs in the kitchen stove for heat and cooking. Water glass would freeze in bedroom in winter. Dad had a drinking problem. But as I get older the thing I am most THANKFUL for is that BOTH my parents were there to raise me.
