117 Wednesday, presumptive Speaker of the House Congressman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)58% vowed things will be different under his leadership.
Ryan said, “This begins a new day in the House of Representatives. Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)37% served with humility and distinction and we owe him a debt of gratitude. But tomorrow we are turning the page. We are not going to have a House that looked like it looks the last few years. We are going to move forward. We are going to unify. Our party has lost its vision and we are going to replace it with a vision.
We believe that the country’s on the wrong track. We think the country’s headed in the wrong direction and we have an obligation here in the people’s House to do the people’s business to give this country a better way forward, to give this country an alternative. We are going to respect the people by representing the people. And I want to thank my colleagues for bestowing on to me this great honor. Thank you.”

Essentially, yes. Statists by any other name. They, themselves do not think themselves in these terms - but power corrupts, and money and power together make tyrants, whatever 'ism' you wish to ascribe them.
It's THEM versus the rest of US whom are not their dependent slaves.

My vision has never been lost. The Bible, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” and the Federalist Papers are extremely clear for those who read and study them. Perhaps Mr. Ryan should become familiar with them.

GOP politicians represent the best examples of how not to communicate political thoughts about yourselves; or how to give political ammunition to your opponents by not admitting how they will use your words against your party.
Seldom do you see Dims ever representing that they have “lost their vision”. Obama may have even thought that back in 2008, but he never said it.
Instead you learn to speak positively about what you are about, without criticizing the those who came before you.
