“Isn’t it funny how Trump’s critics seem to be listening to him exclusively on a staticky radio with the signal fading in and out? “
No actually we listen to him. Us thinking people know many of his past statements aren’t jiving with what he’s saying now so we are very skeptical. He has supported single payer. Then he gets vague but praises single payer in Scotland and Canada. Then he switches and claims he’s for a free market in healthcare because he knows that advocating single payer won’t sell in a GOP primary while still praising the Canadian system which is in fiscal trouble. He praised BHO’s stimulus when we all knew at the time it wouldn’t work and got just a few GOP votes but added to the debt and deficit.
No, my friend, we listen. We hear. We read. And many of us decided that a Northeast liberal isn’t what we want
Of what? Is he going to spring Cuban healthcare on us once he's safely in office?
The man is a world class negotiator! Don't "thinking people" recognize the value of bargaining position, holding out hope of compromise to ones opposition, or the sanctity in which he holds the terms of a deal, once made?
Anything he's said in the past is irrelevant to what he's running on now. What he's saying now are the "terms of the deal" he's making with the American people.
It seems obvious to me many of FreeRepublic's self-professed "critical thinkers" need to put quite a bit more emphasis on the "thinking," and throttle way back on the "critical."
