Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump made his first trip to Iowa today since three state-wide polls came out that all found the New York businessman's once commanding lead is slipping away.
Speaking to a crowd of 2,300 at West High School in Sioux City, Trump pleaded with the crowd for help.
"Will you get these numbers up?" Trump asked the crowd. "I promise you I will do such a good job. First of all, I am a great Christian - and I am - I am. Remember that. And I do well with the evangelicals. But the evangelicals left me down a little bit this last month. I don't know what I did. But I am a great Christian.
"Please do me a favor. Let me win Iowa," he also said.

Who gives a crap about stupid Iowa? McCain finished 4th. Was Huckabee the nominee?
“Donald Trump’s Message: “Let Me Win Iowa””
Go ahead, man. I sure as hell won’t try to stop you.
Hmm...just me, or does this sound a lot like "I'm severely conservative?"
I don’t think he is an active Presbyterian. He went to Sunday school there in the ‘50s.
Did you catch that Ben Carson rally yesterday? Or the one the day before? Or...
Well... tonight’s debate should be some interesting viewing, as Trump now directs his guns at Carson. He who doesn’t ask God for forgiveness would be well advised to tread carefully when it comes to rapping on someone else’s Christian faith.
[”I’m severely conservative?”]
Unfortunately, you are right and he sounded desperate when it wasn’t needed.
“Even though I derided your brains as having been affected by Monsanto products in the corn... really, it was just an intern! Please love me again!”
“Evangelicals let me down”
Must be all that Monsanto corn they’re eating.
Whenever someone leads a discussion of faith with their denomination....it’s a warning flag. I was raised in a big downtown Prez Church...the kind where people went to be seen. Not everyone of course, but a lot of “good Presbyterians.”
I never really found God until I left the PC. My wife? Not until she left the Episcopal Church.
Now look, I want a President who will leave me alone to practice my own faith...I don’t need a national preacher. But this was a childish transparent plea. It shows me that Trump is insecure about this, and that HE BELIEVES those Iowa polls showing Carson ahead of him. I’m not sure I do, but DT must.

Carson religion is as fair a game as Trump’s lack there of.
Hie massive ego is ‘severely bruised’.....and, in my opinion, that’s the only reason he’s running.
Don't you mean all that Monsanto corn that is destroying our car and boat engines?
Yeah, but if he actually wins Iowa he could simply be unstoppable, given his strength in the next three states and then the rest of the South.
The GOPe is going to throw everyfriggin’thing at them that they can, so the best first punch possible is a good way to go.
And will continue to do so with the renewable fuel standards.
Fair or not, it's a counter productive and stupid rabbit trail to go down....especially if Trump continues to lie about his "lack there of" - which you seem to concede.
