Free Republic on Google's Black List?!!
Firefox ^ | 10/27/15 | Yollopoliuhqui

Posted on 10/27/2015 12:54:05 PM PDT by Yollopoliuhqui

When I went to post a comment I was redirected to a presumed Firefox warning page that Free Republic was a reported malware/phishing site. The below second warning message indicates that Google's blacklist was invoked. I don't know if this is a malware warning generated on my computer or a real issue that Free Republic should be quickly investigating. I'll post the link here for investigative purposes, DO NOT click on this link.

=====

Wait! Please don't visit that site right now!

Google detected badware on the site you were visiting. Firefox uses Google's blacklist to warn you about "Reported attack sites." We understand that you may know and trust this site, but it's possible for good sites to be infected with badware without the site owners' knowledge or permission.

It’s Google Analytics.

It can't be coincidental that Google Analytics is a perfect anagram of "CIA ogles golanty". Now all we have to figure out is what "golanty" means...

That’s weird, I got the red screen warning after hitting the post button for post #40 - clicked out of the tab - the post is here...funky.

Have you seen the thread about not clicking on the “frozen lion” thread because this very warning is turning up for many people when they do? I saw that thread, which is why I searched on Google for “lion cubs” “free republic.”

It must be Jim Thompsons CIA “code name”.

That’s the exact same screen I got using Safari to search for an old thread. There wasn’t a way to “Or you can continue to..” without copy and pasting the link. Major hassle.

New Update for Chrome...

1. Clicking thread title - all is OK (albeit slow)

2. Clicking any specific post # just below the title gets the red malware error.

Put Neidermeyer on it. He’s a sneaky little sh*t.
