When I went to post a comment I was redirected to a presumed Firefox warning page that Free Republic was a reported malware/phishing site. The below second warning message indicates that Google's blacklist was invoked. I don't know if this is a malware warning generated on my computer or a real issue that Free Republic should be quickly investigating. I'll post the link here for investigative purposes, DO NOT click on this link.

Wait! Please don't visit that site right now!
Google detected badware on the site you were visiting. Firefox uses Google's blacklist to warn you about "Reported attack sites." We understand that you may know and trust this site, but it's possible for good sites to be infected with badware without the site owners' knowledge or permission.

I had about given up on Firefox since it was refusing to allow me to open my mail in Yahoo but finally was able to work through it.
Since I loathe Google, they can block me all day (they can also remove their orange fencing, holes and posts from my front yard, too BTW!)
BTW, when I did a search for that thread, I had a “This site may harm your computer” warning come up in the search results.
Me too
I think it is YOUR COMPUTER. I have not had any problems. But I did not click on any lion cub articles.
IE is working OK for me...and I’m using to post this reply.
However, Chrome is all sucked-up. FR loads OK but every thread I click gives me a red screen warning of malware.
We should feel honored................
I’m getting the malware warning as well. On Google chrome.
A lot of us uninstalled Mozilla Firefox when the Gay Gestapo got the CEO fired because of a donation to the Family Research Council or Prop. 8.
We gotta unite!
FR, since its inception has been one of the cleanest pages on the internet. Now, what you might be picking up are graphics from =other= sites that are hotlinked into a thread, but that's not actually FR.
FR is blacklisted every time I try to access anything on it. I’m using Firefox on a Mac.
I have Firefox and I’ve also been getting the warning. It’s becoming difficult to post here.
I saw the warning on Firefox, but only when posting, not when merely visiting a FR link.
This is a test post from IE11.
Yeah, Google’s given me a couple of troubles, and really doesn’t like Rightreason website which links to it.
Same here
I had something similar happen to me. It was when I went to post a response,,got a strange screen that said “Attack Page Detected” or something like that. Said Google was warning me based on MY setting preferences.
Hmmmm.
I am able to respond now, it seems. Haven’t yet hit the “post” button.
It isn’t your imagination and it isn’t your box. Same thing happened to me on two machines, both using Chrome, only when it was posting a comment. Scans by three AV vendors came up clean.
Your post is 100% spot on. It doesn’t matter what browser it is.
Sheesh people. It’s Google Analytics. get a grip
Just happened again but apparently still let me post.
I’ve been getting the same thing on ‘advance search’ for a few days, just tried to find a recipe from a past thread and couldn’t get into it - malware warnings.
(using Chrome)
Straight coming in here on a favorite button or straight google, no problem...but start putting in search terms and it pops up....tried to research a topic a couple of days ago for a specific timeframe on a search, same thing.
