This math reminds me of when they did away with the teaching of phonics.

When I was a kid, I could sound out words. When I did, I could match the word with my last instance of hearing it used around the house. I was able to self teach a new word

This was a building block. They took it away.

They’ve done the same thing in math.

This can’t be unintentional.

It’s also why they don’t teach our history any longer.

Building blocks, they’re kicking them out thoroughly as they can.

It is intentional and they don’t teach our history anymore.

Maybe people are ashamed of our history???

I noticed that around 20+ years ago when my children were learning to read in first grade in public school. The teacher told me they were now going with whole language reading skills, I told her before she gets my other two children, I will teach them to read in phonics. I did, by the time they got to her class they already could read and write due to phonics based on sounding out the letters.

The whole school system is now geared for the super slow students. Since "its not fair" to have smart kids be ahead of slow students in their school work, they have dumbed down everything for the slow learners since they have to be mainstreamed now, so the smarties, get the shaft and usually get into trouble or drop out as they are bored to death in public schools anymore.
