"Well, Barack Obama has no idea how to run a government. So what is his point???"

Barack Obama still has no idea how to run a government, even after 7 years.

My prediction is that Carson would be a much faster learner.

I might have some negative ‘vibes’ about Ben Carson, but since our ‘Professional Government Leaders’ are proven crooks and/or incompetents - I don't take this particular criticism as a negative.

I agree.

You don’t hear much about this, but, the fact is, Obama had no executive or managerial experience before being elected president.

He may have had the most limited experience in government of any president in recent history.

Some people point out how Eisenhower had never run for public office or been in politics before he ran for president. But I think that someone who could plan and execute the Normandy invasion, and was the Allied commander in Europe in World War II, had some significant executive experience in life before he ran for president.

Presidents don’t run the government these days.

They set broad guidelines and objectives.

Then they hire and appoint career politicians and bureaucrats who agree with (or appear to agree with) their philosophy and those people run the government.

And, if we want to go back and think about the intent of the Founding Fathers, the Founding Fathers never wanted a political class, or political parties, or political families, taking turns running this country. They envisioned citizen legislators, who would serve for a time, and then go back home.

And look where that got us. Carson is a decent guy, but he’s in over his head on this one. Trump can do it, and Carson could be a good candidate for a position in the Trump Cabinet.

BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH CARSON: He’s a good man, but, we need a street fighter to bitch-slap Hillary in the General Election. Carson will not fight, even when Hillary and the Dems lie and distort, he would run a gentle campaign, espousing his plans and policies and Hillary would eat him alive.

I would say that our President now never “runs the government” - it’s too big for a person to “run.” The President needs to set a vision. It’s a visionary position, not an administrative one.

Probably prefer DT to Carson, but this is conventional but not necessarily correct reasoning.

Morning Joe: Ben Carson has no idea how to run a government

Neither do the 535 other morons who were elected/appointed to their lofty positions.

Well, Barack Obama has no idea how to run a government. So what is his point???

And look how well that turned out? So why would we want to go through that again?

Please include me, myself, and I in your assessment. One has already been elected, twice, who knew nothing about our government and how it works, nor our Constitution. Not that Dr. Ben has no intelligence - he needs some experience Trying to left a heavy load takes a lot of brawn as well as brain.

True! We don’t need to make the same mistake twice???

Sorry, but Carson is not the guy for the job this time around.

“Well, Barack Obama has no idea how to run a government.”

Indeed. And how well has that worked out? Can our country survive another person elected President whose primary qualification is the amount of melanin in their skin?

Let’s face it, we all know that’s the main reason Carson is in the mix. There are probably at least a 100 other retired doctors who rose from horribly impoverished circumstances, who are really nice guys, who were successful doctors, who have no other experience doing anything else at all, and who kinda, maybe have a few conservative thoughts. So, why not one of them instead of Carson? What’s really so special about Carson?

I think Carson’s “rise” in the polls have something to do with the efforts to get Trump to drop out. Trump needs to tell them he ain’t leavin’ come hell or high water!
