Former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu (R) said Monday that GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump can "win anywhere if the electorate doesnt wake up.
Sununu, who served as the first White House chief of staff for former President George H. W. Bush, argued on MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports" that Trump will likely disappoint supporters before 2016. If Republicans go on to nominate someone that can govern the country in a way they want and make the policies they want, they ought to pay attention to the issues that the candidates support, he said.
Trump is in favor of single-payer healthcare, Sununu said. Thats absolutely something Republicans hate.
Trump likes eminent domain, he continued. Most conservative Republicans cant stand that.
So they are going to have to start looking at the issues so that they dont get frustrated by the results of winning, perhaps, and getting somebody who is just as bad as [President] Obama on the issues they care about, he added.

Sununu’s GOPee has eminent domained the conservative base for far too long. So we are wide awake Sunuisance. Its the GOPee who sleeps.
The voters ARE awake John! So sorry you don’t like it.
BS, out of context. But that aside...John, you mean the Republicans that do nothing about Obamacare? John, do you mean the Republicans that thought Mitt Romney and Romneycare was a great idea?
Your last sentence about the GOP party leaving the base prior to the base withholding contributions seems to be the case. The base is no longer willing to continue to send good money after bad. I saw that our family contribution to the GOP was just gravy for somebody who was already being well rewarded for selling out to higher, unelected, powers. We now support Trump and send money to Cruz. The GOP will continue to do what they want and the only way to get the govt back on track is to elect a new slate of individuals who will work for America’s best interest.
Neither, he’s a Kasich guy. He is the one who got Kasich to enter the race. Oh, and for the record, we who support Trump ARE awake and ready to vote.
I don’t know where you get YOUR facts, but he cleared this up on Mark Levin’s show. Pay attention! Trump isn’t a blank slate - good God - you are asleep at the wheel if you don’t know Trump’s positions - everyone else does. Get with it. You are entitled to your opinion, but don’t state them as facts!
We have woken up, that’s why we are supporting Trump!
Right there with ya.
Still partial to Cruz but wont waste a vote at primaries if it’s not close and not thrilled about a few of his votes.
“The fact is, he has come out for single payer
You are correct! In fact, Trump defended Canada’s health”care” when asked about why he supported single payer in the first GOP debate.
He is also for eminent domain and has used it.
But even Trump supporters who look it up simply won’t believe their “lying eyes.” Their minds are closed.
Wake up to who? Jeb? Rubio? Graham? Kasich? Any of the others who have gone along to get along? I am not a Trump supporter I favor Cruz, but I could vote Trump before I could vote for the same old, same olds the GOP is shoving at me.
But even Trump supporters who look it up simply wont believe their lying eyes. Their minds are closed..
Apparently, even Trump detractors don't know the truth.
Thank God America is awakening.

Look at the reaction I got from two Trumpanistas for pointing out facts
My bad. He “reiterated” his support for single payer. LOL.
This one I found and it didn't take much searching
http://news.heartland.org/newspaper-article/2015/08/20/trump-reiterates-support-single-payer
Next you'll tell me he really didn't mean it..lol
There’s not a current/former Conservative Governor among the viable candidates.
Just guys like Kasich, Christi, Jindal and Huckabee.
I don’t get to hear everything Trump says; but I did hear Mark Levin and Hannity say that Trump does not support single payer. I have also heard Trump say he does not support single payer. Now, am I supposed to take what you say he believes as the gospel?
But these details don’t really matter. Trump is the ONLY one who pledges to stop immigration. That is the only thing that matters. If immigration is not stopped, the nation is over, in all its forms. Do you think what is going on in Europe is an accident? We are next.
After you are locked in a third-world hell-hole for an eternity by electing any of the other Republican candidate sell-outs, you can comfort yourself by reminding yourself that you did not vote for Trump because you did not like his hair, or his personality, or his bluntness, or the fact that he is rich. That will make things go down better.
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
If you have issue with his position, you need to argue with him, not me
“Don’t make me the issue.”
Make you the issue? You flatter yourself.
I just mentioned what you say about what Trump says, and the preponderance of knowledgeable people who say the opposite, including Trump.
What Trump is allowed to squeeze in, in a 60 second response in a debate, would probably need to be explained fully when he gets a chance, which he did.

Oh this is rich.
We’ve gone from “Trump opposes single payer” from “well, maybe for sure golly gee he might coulda woulda ‘splain it”
Want some fun? Google “Trump supports single payer” and see what you come up with. Google “Trump opposes single payer” and the search gets harder.
It’s a sad day when conservatives support government involvement in healthcare
“Weve gone from Trump opposes single payer from well, maybe for sure golly gee he might coulda woulda splain it
No, genius. I have heard many times, from Trump, that he proposes that free market systems construct health care along the lines it always has.
The government part he alluded to, and which I alluded to as Trump not having space to elaborate, has always occurred in the United States. Most recently it has been called medicare, which is contributed to by its users, and medicaid, which is not.
Trump was participated in a town hall meeting on the Today show, and as Rush pointed out, he was more interrupted by Matt than than he participated.
O”Reilly once interrupted him in the midst of a response, and some people on this site went nuts over the half-part that he could squeeze out.
My advice to you is to curtail your glee just a bit. You will not change the nation on this, I promise you.
