In general, a first time drunk driver is much more likely to get into an accident than a well-worn alcoholic.
Yep. Prisons are full of people who wished they'd stayed sober.
Sorry, not THIS column, but the other ones from the Daily Mail and NY Daily News—they tell the make and model of the car. The embedded video in this column does have the police captain saying the car was a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, so it was new.
Yeah.... stillwater isn’t Rural.... but her home town is extremely rural.
Any of us who have kids; after they reach a certain age we
cannot predict what their every action is or will be.
You give it your best shot and hope they’re going to
have listened to you and maybe even follow your example
if you’ve set a fairly decent one. - Raising kids is
a very serious matter; and the way parents are divorcing
and remarrying these days, children rightly have to feel
like just an afterthought. - We’re on our 51st year of
marriage, for better or worse. When you start getting
old, you better have yourself a faithful, loyal mate
to stick with you. It’s bad to get old, get seriously
ill, and be abandoned by the “young” woman or man you
jettisoned your original mate for. - Believe me; that
“hot” number you have your eye on is not worth the pain
you cause your mate and kids in order to *sample* some
of “that” variety.
Alcoholics wake up in the mornings and start drinking. If you are out before the store opens, there will be a line.
of course not!! I drank and drove WAY too much in my 20s.
At 47 I can see it was crazy. but i wasn’t 47 then.
Crashed into a cemetery gate once. That’s it.
But drive into a crowd?
fight with boyfriend AND drunk AND took a pill or a hit or a snort?
dont know.
Mental illness hidden?
>>It was a Hyundai Elantra, not a BMW. The column says it<<
Was it an Assault Elantra? Those should be banned.
Did the Car do it or did the Driver of the Car do it? Had it been a Gun instead of a Car, we would be lucky to know the Identity of the one using it.
She sure looks older than 23.

LOL. Sounds like some kinda omen or sumpthin.
I'm the middle child of three and was raised in a very loving, caring household. I went off to college at 17 and it didn't take long for me to succumb to the allure of alcohol. I had an ROTC scholarship so a couple of my summers in college were spent doing Army stuff and I worked away from home one summer. I graduated and got commissioned at 21 and was off on my Army career and rarely saw my folks in the years after that. By 25, I was a high-functioning alcoholic and remained so until I got sober at 34. Only by the grace of God did I avoid any such catastrophic results of my alcoholism, and my parents would have never known, nor would it have been the result of any failing or shortcoming on their part.
let’s hope not! :)
That’s because she’s 25
I’m right there with you.
If Crashing into a cemetery gate don’t make you stop and think nothing will. ;^)
