Real-estate mogul Donald Trump released a statement on Friday calling on every presidential candidate to drop their so-called super PACs.
"I have disavowed all Super PAC's, requested the return of all donations made to said PAC's, and I am calling on all Presidential candidates to do the same," Trump said.
Super PACs, which can raise and spend unlimited funds, are required to be independent of the campaigns they support, though some candidates blur the lines more than others.
Trump's statement came one day after Politico reported that the main super PAC backing his campaign, Make America Great Again PAC, was closing shop.
The PAC said it decided to shutter because Trump indicated that he didn't want a super PAC, but the decision followed increasing media scrutiny on the connections between Trump's campaign and the supposedly independent operation.

Trump has gotten the most air time.
He had four sibling to divide estate and was actually worth much more than his father when he passed. You need to do research before shooting off mouth.
May I suggest you read THE TRUMPS by Gwenda Blair
You will learn how the family fortune grew from poverty of German immigrant barber’s young death (Spanish flue) to billion dollar fortune of grandson through strong family work ethic. It’s the Ameican Dream on steroids
Yeah, we need the corrupt lobbyist, lying influence peddlers and those with special personal interest$ calling the shots! It’s all worked out so well for middle America. Lets keep things business as usual!
Brilliant!
“The PAC said it decided to shutter because Trump indicated that he didn’t want a super PAC, but the decision followed increasing media scrutiny on the connections between Trump’s campaign and the supposedly independent operation.”
It sounds like there was a connection between Trump and the Super PAC and he didn’t want that coming out, so the PAC was cancelled before the connection became public. Then, Trump, to get around that reason for the closing, acted like a high minded person suggesting PACs were “bad”, and asked all the other candidates to do away with theirs.
Too bad kid. Life ain't.
Too late for most.
Easy to say when Daddy leaves you with tens of millions of dollars.
Not everybody whom daddy left $10k to is now a multi millionaire.
brilliant move by Trump even if you dont like him

I like Trump.
100K for the Clinton Fund, but Ted Cruz should "give up" his super PAC.
BTW, Super Pacs aren't for the candidate to give up. They are independent.
You're deluded, it's not.
It only works when you take those tens of millions and turn it into ten of billions
they have ALL spent millions more money than he has
Trump today:
Let’s put Christ back in Christmas and get rid of the dirty money in politics.
He’s on a roll today. Polls will go up. Bye, bye, Ben (who doesn’t celebrate Christmas).
“I would like to point out to you that Trump has spent the least, BY FAR!!!, of all the GOP candidates!”
That means he’s not spending money to have offices/workers in the counties in the states and if he doesn’t do that, I don’t think he wins. He’s depending on appearing on TV and crowd gatherings to get his voters and I do not think that will give him wins in the states.
Trump is the perfect example to the rest of the GOP field that life really isn’t fair. :-)
good strategy for Trump - but it pits him against Citizens United case....
Also- Billionaire calls on poor to disavow welfare
How dare they try to level the playing field by following the law!
He’s probably prefer that we dispense with all election and primary silliness and just appoint him President now.
Darn.

To your comment:
If Trump is telling people who have started a super pac for him to give it back to the people who sent it in, then it’s only fair of the other candidates to do the same...

Let’s try again.
LOL.
{whine} It’s only fair {/whine}
If Trump chooses to campaign wearing clown hair, will everyone else need to do the same? How ‘bout Trump run his campaign as he sees fit and everyone else do the same?
