A Serious Question for the Trump Supporters
Red State ^ | October 21, 2015 | Leon H. Wolf

Posted on 10/21/2015 2:08:43 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

I have a serious question for the Trump supporters, and I hope they will be able to answer it, at least to themselves. It is a question that every supporter of every candidate should be able to answer if they consider themselves a thinking voter instead of a mindless, drooling sports fan. The question is this:

What, hypothetically, would Trump have to do or say to cause you to stop supporting him?

SNIP

............It’s supposed to matter what candidates think, do, and say. There should be a point with literally every candidate where something they have done would push us over the edge to the point that we wouldn’t support them anymore.

SNIP

I would answer the question, but this is a Trump hit piece and frankly, it belongs in the garbage where all of the rest of the lying media, RINOs, GOPee’s and talking heads words and back stabbing crap belong....

When you have something serious to say, get back to me...

Here’s my prediction. A lot of people didn’t know or even like REagan at first. People warmend up to him. There are many out there who don’t know or even like Trump, but will. He’s softened his stance. He’s saying nice things about people. He’s a charmer.

My prediction. Wait til the New York polls come out showing him leading all candidates.

So many of politicians are nothing more than voice machines repeating what they are told and reading words some one else has written for so long it is numbing.

That exactly describes Rubio (especially), Bush, Carly, Kasich, et al.

That is a good one.

"taking the country into bankruptcy"

'Taking the country into bankruptcy' is exactly what raising the debt ceiling is.

We are long, long, long past bankruptcy.

You probably haven’t been keeping close enough attention—a paid hack.

You could be right. I go for days on end when I can’t even look at FR. Too busy at work. So my attention does wander.

I accept that you have read more of the relevant postings than I have, in which case I stand correct.

Which is more the pity. I would have more sympathy for a driven-insane-with-grief-over-the-loss-of-Walker than I would for a paid hack.

So glad this Walker guy reached you in time.

If only he'd run for President or something. I'm sure his wise words would touch others too.

Remind us again, who is this PURE conservative you are for?

I’m only at post 129 but as I read further down the thread I will keep my eye out for the answer to THIS question.

For someone who has never been an executive, that sounds like a shaky attitude to take.)

Cruz was the Solicitor General of Texas for many years, during which he won SCOTUS cases and managed hundreds of attorneys. ...Perhaps you should look up his bio.

Now, what’s different about Trump? What’s different is that HE CANNOT BE BOUGHT!

And that drives the paid hacks at RS (and the 1 or 2 here on FR) literally insane with jealousy.

“What, hypothetically, would Trump have to do or say to cause you to stop supporting him?”

If Trump said “ ... if you end my support I will buy RedState and pay this writer to never write again ...”

Then, yes, I would consider ending my support.

LOL!

“can’t control the narrative any more”

You would be exactly correct. If you want that confirmed, go over to rushlimbaugh.com and read his article about Dan Rather and Mary Mapes and their new movie. Rush points out that the media is still outraged that we no longer bow to them; that we no longer have to listen to them; that they are no longer the ONLY VOICE. Stunning report.

I think you make a valid point. Trump is not going to do like Romney and say “hey look at that 47%”. Many freepers including me agreed with Romney. Rather Trump will say to the 47%, what do you want? Do you want to be on the dole for life? Or do you want fresh opportunity. Because trump is the plebiscite candidate. It’s up to the American people to decide what they want.

Well said.

No, but having the highest corp taxes in the world, and being 16th (or something like that) in freedom, that puts Kelo in perspective. Would you rather have no Kelo, or no federal agency that can confiscate your land because you added a drainage ditch to it.

What, hypothetically, would Trump have to do or say to cause you to stop supporting him?

In other words, tell us what crisis we have to manufacture to get you to stop supporting Trump.
